Objective To investigate the effect of different types of dry eye on corneal topography and corneal thickness. Methods Choose the 55 patients with dry eyes(111 eyes)between December 2016 and June2017 in our hospital of ophthalmology of outpatient visits for the first time,According to the2007 international dry eye project research mainly divided the dry eye tear production type and strong evaporation type, dry eye patients divided into tear secretion deficiency type in 28cases(52 eyes, group A)and the strong evaporation type in 31 cases(59 eyes, group B),collected the health personnel 26 cases(51 eyes, group C)to the outpatient at the same time as the control group.Corneal topographer was used to detect the corneal surface regularity index(SRI),corneal surface asymmetric index(SAI)and corneal surface cylinder(CYL)of all respondents;Meanwhile, corneal endoscopy to applied to detect the corneal thickness, endothelial cells at 5 different locations of the central, nasal, temporal, upper and lower sides. To analyze the influence and difference of two types of dry eye on corneal topography and corneal thickness, and to observe whether different types of dry eye have influence on corneal endothelial cells.Reults The SAI and SRI of groups A and B were both higher than group C,with no significant difference(P > 0.05).The CYL of group A [(0.610±0.044)D] was significantly lower than that of group B[(0.740±0.068)D] and group C[(0.870±0.075)D](P = 0.023;P =0.003),but there was no significant difference in CYL between group B and group C(P >0.05).There was no significant difference in corneal thickness of all positions of in group A and group B with group C(all P>0.05).The percentage of central hexagonal cells[(51.71±8.27)%] and nasal hexagonal cells [(50.83±10.23)%] in group A was lower than that in group C [(56.35±8.66)%] and [(56.08±7.00)%](P = 0.005,P= 0.01),but there was no significant difference in percentage of hexagonal cells between group B and group C(P>0.05).Conclusion Different types of dry eye have different effects on corneal topography, and may have some influence on corneal endothelial cells. There is no significant difference between the corneal thickness of the dry eye and the normal person.
