Objective: To detect the effect of “Pingchuan Guben mixture” on the airway inflammation-related factors(IL-4,IFN-? and LTC4)in infants with positive asthma prediction index.This study was to provide a new theory basis for clinical diagnosis and treatment and to open up new approaches for the treatment of infants with asthma through the effect of “Pingchuan Guben mixture” in infants with positive asthma prediction index Methods: we select 125 infants with mild to moderate wheezing who he positive diagnostic criteria of asthma prediction index and completed the whole experimental process at outpatient department of pediatrics in Affiliated Hospital of Qingdao University and Linyi Central Hospital.All the subjects were randomly divided into three groups.They were treated by“Pingchuan Guben mixture”(prescription group),pulmicort respules(aerosol inhalation group),combined treatment group.All the infants met the diagnostic criteria of “Pediatrics(eighth edition)”.The exclusion criteria included application of immunomodulator,infants who were allergic to pulmicort respules and Pingchuan Guben mixture,bronchopulmonary dysplasia,bronchopneumonia,bronchial foreign body,tuberculosis.In addition,a total of 40 health infants from children's heal th care outpatient department were selected as control group.The exclusion criteria included history or family history of allergic disease,systematic infectious diseases in the last month,not received antihistamines.The difference of gender,age between the groups was not statistically significant.The peripheral blood samples of children before and 4 weeks after treatment were collected,and the levels of human interleukin-4(IL-4),interferon-?(IFN-?)and leukotriene(LTC4)were measured.The resulting data was statistically analyzed using SPSS22.0 software.One-way analysis of variance(ANOVA)and paired T-test were used for statistical analysis.The significance limit was P<0.05.Result:1.The levels of IL-4(pg/ml):The levels of IL-4 before treatment in the aerosol inhalation group,prescription group,combined group were not statistically significant(F=0.22,P > 0.05),the levels of IL-4 in the three groups were significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.The levels of IL-4 after the treatment in the three groups were significantly lower than pre-treatment(P < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant.The levels of IL-4 after the treatment in the three groups was not statistically significant(F=0.67,P>0.05).2.The levels of IFN-?(pg/ml):The levels of IFN-? before treatment in the aerosol inhalation group,prescription group,combined group were not statistically significant(F=0.81,P > 0.05),the levels of IFN-? in the three groups were significantly lesser than the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.The levels of IFN-? after the treatment in the three groups were significantly lower than pre-treatment(P < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant.The levels of IFN-? after the treatment in the three groups was not statistically significant(F=0.22,P>0.05).3.The levels of LTC4(ng/ml):The levels of LTC4 before treatment in the aerosol inhalation group,prescription group,combined group were not statistically significant(F=0.24,P > 0.05),the levels of LTC4 in the three groups were significantly higher than the control group(P<0.05),the difference was statistically significant.The levels of LTC4 after the treatment in the three groups were significantly lower than pre-treatment(P < 0.05),the difference was statistically significant.The levels of LTC4 after the treatment in the three groups was not statistically significant(F=1.26,P>0.05).Conclusion:The self-made Pingchuan Guben mixture can effectively improve the levels of serum IL-4,IFN-? and LTC4 in infants with positive asthma prediction index,and improve airway inflammation,which is worthy of clinical research and promotion.
