Objective: To understand the care burden among the primary caregivers of children with chronic wounds. To determine the main dimensions of the increased care burden, and to analyze its influencing factors, and provide ideas to reducing the care burden of caregivers. Methods: 122 primary caregivers of children with chronic wounds were collected in Children's Hospital Affiliated to Chongqing Medical University from January 2017 to January 2018 by convenience sampling methods, use self-designed children with chronic wound and their primary caregivers general situation questionnaire and Chinese version of Zarit Caregiver Burden Interview to evaluate the care burden of the primary caregivers of children with chronic wound. To use single factor and multiple linear regression analysis on SPSS19.0 to find out the factors affecting the nursing burden of the primary caregivers of children with chronic wounds. Results: 2(1.64%)of primary caregivers of children with chronic wound have no burden,55(45.08%)have moderate burden,65(53.28%)have severe burden; The five dimensions of care burden from high to low are: self-criticism,sacrifice,loss of control,embarrassment/anger and dependence;main caregiver 's education level, occupation, role, ethnicity, past care experience, family place of residence and children's ethnicities had significant influence in care burden of the primary caregivers in children with chronic wound(p<0.05).Conclusion: Most main caregivers of children with chronic wound have medium burden, and the burden of care is the result of multi-factor interaction, therefore, the clinical staff should pay full attention to the severity and influencing factors of the care burden on the primary caregivers of children with chronic wounds, and proposes priority intervention measures to reduce the care burden on caregivers and improve the nursing capacity,so as to promote the wound healing of children.
