Objective : To observe the effect of regulation or intermittent inhalation of corticosteroids on the growth and development of older asthmatic children.Methods : A total of 103 older asthma children according to the treatment conditions can be divided into standardized treatment group(n=46)and non-standardized treatment group(n=57),according to different gender can be divided into male gender group(n = 55)and women(n= 48),according to the different medications can be divided into symbicort group(n = 59)and seretide group(n = 44).The growth velocity and body mass index changes of the two groups were observed after treatment for 1 year.Results:The growth velocity and BMI of the standardized treatment group and non-standardized treatment group showed no significant differences(P>0.05).There was no statistically significant difference in gender and between different medications.Conclusion:The regulation or intermittentinhaled corticosteroids hasno obvious effect on the growth and development of older asthma children.There was no significant difference in the growth and development effects in gender and between different medications.
