Research On The Progress Of Hemodialysis-Associated Seizure

Hemodialysis is a clinical treatment of extracorporeal blood purification.It is the most widely used therapeutic method in the treatment of renal replacement at inland and abroad.Meanwhile,there are a number of complications.Seizure is one of the common complications during or after hemodialysis.It may be related to dialysis diseqilibrium syndrome,water and electrolyte disorders,cerebrovascular accident,drugs and toxins.The occurrence of this disease is related to the age of onset of hemodialysis,prior history of seizure,the length of history of hemodialysis,type and duration of dialysis treatment.The seizures in these series usually were generalized tonic-clonic type,and the diagnosis of the disease still relies mainly on the history of seizure.It may bring serious consequences to the patient,or even death if not recognized and dealt with in a timely manner.In order to further deepen the understanding of hemodialysis-related seizure,this article will review the epidemiology pathogenesis,risk factors,clinical manifestations,treatment and the latest related research of hemodialysis-associated seizure.
