Objective: Analyze relevant factor in newly diagnosed Thyroid Associated Ophthalmopathy(TAO)in Graves(GD)disease patients after radioiodine treatment in the short term.Method: A total 19 patients with GD and develop TAO in three months after radioiodine treatment were selected as experiment group, from november 2011 to november,2015,taking 64 patients with GD treated by radioiodine in the same period as control group so as to contrast factors such as thyrotropin receptor antibody(TRAb),thyroglobulin antibody(TGAb),thyroid peroxidase antibody(TPOAb),tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNF-?)and changes of thyroid function before and after treatment.Result: The base line level of TPOAb,TRAb,and TNF-? of TAO group is not higher than that of the group without TAO and the ascensional range became bigger after treatment.FT3 rose one month after treatment of TAO and the group without TAO did not rise;the falling range of thyroid function is not bigger than that of the group without TAO three months after treatment,so it is irrelevant to the occurrence of hypothyroidism. The thyroid function, thyroid weight, rate of iodine intake, gender, age, course of disease before radioiodine treatment are irrelevant to the occurrence of TAO.Conclusion: the rise of TRAb,TPOAb,TNF-? and falling range of thyroid function patients are related to TAO after radioiodine treatment.Identifying the risk factors that predispose patients with GD to develop TAO could dramatically alter the management of these patients.
