Research Progress Of Spontaneous Bacterial Peritonitis

Spontaneous bacterial peritonitis(SBP)is a common and serious complication of decompensated liver cirrhosis and severe hepatitis with ascites.Active diagnosis and effective antibiotic treatment are essential to improve the prognosis of patients.Clinically,spontaneous peritonitis is mainly based on clinical manifestations,ascites related examinations,and inflammatory markers.Diagnosis of inflammatory factors such as inflammatory factors,ascites lactoferrin,leukocyte esterase test strips,and bacterial DNA detection are currently hot topics.The mainly therapy is empiric antimicrobial therapy,Joint medical support therapy,albumin infusion,immunomodulatory preparations,etc,liver transplant should be considered if conditions permit.The use of non-selective ?-blockers and proton pump inhibitors is still controversial and needs further study.for SBP survivors should use antibiotics to prevent recurrence.With the widespread use of antibiotics,SBP caused by variety of drug-resistant bacteria increased in recent years,the new bacterial spectrum,empirical treatment and prevention needs further study.
