Podocyte,a highly specific terminal differentiation cell,is involved in the onset of and progression to diabetic kidney disease, the detection of related markers is expected to be a noninvasive indicators in early diagnosis of DKD.The quantitative analysis of podocyte and podocyte fragments is mainly through marking specific protein,mRNAs and mi-RNAs of podocyte, which positive rate and accuracy depends on the improvement of the various quantitative methods.Exploring the detection of a high sensitivity, simple operation and low cost is an urgent problem to be solved in the early clinical diagnosis of DKD.This paper focuses on the new research progress in the field of podocyte-related protein,mRNAs,mi-RNAs and exsomes, and analyze the development prospect and existing problems in this field.
