Objective:Investigate the relationship between serum SFRP5 and early renal damage in patients with essential hypertension. Methods:During January 2017 to December 2017,we selected 32 healthy patients from the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University as group A,and 88patients with essential hypertension who were diagnosed according to the Chinese guidelines for the management of hypertension 2010[1],inclouding 41cases without early renal damage[UACR<30mg/g]?Group B?and 47 cases with early renal damage[UACR30-300mg/g]?Group C?.Measure the level of serum SFRP5,Cys-C,BUN and SCr in the three groups, and compare the statistical difference.Results:1.The level of SFRP5 in group C is significantly lower than that in group A and group B,with statistical difference?7.20±2.79ng/ml vs19.27±2.83ng/ml,7.20±2.79ng/ml vs 17.72±2.52ng/ml,P<0.01?.The level of SFRP5 in group B is lower than that in group A with statistical difference?17.72±2.52ng/ml vs 19.27±2.83ng/ml,P<0.05?.2.The level of Cys-C in group C is significantly higher than that in group A and group B,with statistical difference?2.50±0.50mg/L vs0.86±0.11mg/L,2.50±0.50mg/L vs 0.87±0.10mg/L,P<0.01?;but there is no significant difference between group A and group B?0.86±0.11mg/L vs0.87±0.10mg/L,P>0.05?.3.The level of SFRP5 is negatively correlated to UACR and Cys-C?r=-0.839,P<0.01;r=-0.378,P<0.05?.Cys-C is positively correlated to UACR?r=0.625,P<0.01?.4.The SFRP5 is an independent protective factor for renal damage of hypertension??=-0.704,P<0.01?.Cys-C is an independent risk factor for renal damage of hypertension??=0.360,P<0.01?.Conclusions:1.The level of serum SFRP5 in the early renal impairment group is significantly lower, and is negatively correlated with UACR,suggesting that SFRP5 may be a protective factor for renal damage in hypertension.2.The level of SFRP5 may become one of the new targets for prediction and treatment in renal damage of hypertension, which provides a new direction for clinical medication and evaluation of drug efficacy.
