Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction Combined With Acupuncture In The Treatment Of Depression After Stroke Of Qi Stagnation And Blood Stasis

Objective: To observe the efficacy and safety of Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with acupuncture for depression after qi stagnation and blood stasis type stroke,and to explore a new method for treating post-stroke depression.Method: Sixty patients with post-stroke depression,qi stagnation,and blood stasis who were admitted to the Department of Encephalology of Hebei Provincial Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from September 2016 to September 2017 were randomly divided into a treatment group and a control group according to a random number table method,with 30 cases in each group.Both groups were given basic medical treatment.The treatment group was given Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction combined with acupuncture treatment on the basis of this.The Chinese herbal medicine was administered once a day,twice a day in the morning and evening.The acupuncture left the needle for 30 minutes and 6 times per week.The control group was given sertraline hydrochloride 50 mg/d orally for a total of 4 weeks.The scores of HAMD,NIHSS and Barthel index were assessed before and after treatment.The scores of the scales were observed and the curative effect was calculated based on the score of HAMD scores.The blood,urine,stool routine,liver and kidney function were examined before and after treatment.Safety indicator.Result: Within 4 weeks after treatment,the scores of HAMD,NIHSS and Barthel index were significantly lower in the two groups compared with before treatment(P<0.05);the total effective rates of the two groups were 90.0% and 86.7%,respectively.There was no significant difference in the effective rate and HAMD score between the control group and the control group(P>0.05).The NIHSS and Barthel index scores were lower in the treatment group than in the control group(P<0.05).No significant adverse effects were found in the two groups.reaction.Conclusion: Xuefu Zhuyu decoction combined with acupuncture is safe and effective in treating depression after qi stagnation and blood stasis type stroke,and the efficacy is equivalent to that of sertraline hydrochloride.Moreover,Xuefu Zhuyu Decoction and acupuncture treatment can better improve qi stagnation and blood stasis type.Depressive patients with post-stroke depression symptoms,improve the ability of patients to self-care,promote patient recovery,improve quality of life,reduce the economic burden on patients.
