Objective: By analyzing the left anatomic electroanatomic matrix in patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation at different ages, the characteristics of left anatomic matrix in elderly patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation were explored to provide a theoretical basis for catheter ablation in elderly patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation and to improve the success rate of catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation. Methods:A total of 60 patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation undergoing catheter radiofrequency ablation for the frist time from May 2017 to February2018 were chosen from the second hosptial of Hebei medical university. The patients were divided to aged group and non-aged group according to age.Left atrial electrophysiological mapping of every patient was performed. Finally, the differences between the two groups should be compared.Results:1.The age of patients in the aged group was larger than that in the non-aged group, and the illness of disease was longer than that in the non-aged group. There was no statistical difference in the other clinical data between the two groups.2.There was no statistical difference in biochemical indexes between the two groups.3.There was no difference in LVEF between the two groups, but the LADin older patients was larger than that in the non-aged group.4.The mapping area of left atrium in the aged group was larger than that of the non-aged group. The voltage of left atrium in the aged group was lower than that of the non-aged group. Finally, the low voltage area and the scar area in the aged group were significantly larger than that of the non-aged group.Conclusion:1.There are electroanatomical changes in the left atrium in a part of patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation.2.The change of left atrial electroanatomical matrix in elderly patients with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation is more obvious than that in non-elderly patients.3.Left atrial electroanatomic changes are mainly manifested by the appearance of atrial low voltage areas and scar areas.
