Objective:To quantitave analyse the function of left atrial in patients with paroxysmal lone atrial fibrillation by two dimensional speckle tracking imaging and to predict the possibility of recurrence of atrial fibrillation by transcatheter ablation of the first 3 months aiming at providing clinically valuable information.Methods:31 paroxysmal lone atrial fibrillation(paroxysmal LAF group)and 30 age,gender,heart rate,body mass index,blood pressure matched healthy subjects(healthy control group),were subject to routine transthoracic echocardiographic examination to acquire left ventricular systolic and diastolic function,left atrial size and function of traditional ultrasonic indicators.The subjects were in sinus rhythm acquire and store two-dimensional grayscale dynamic image.Respectively measure and calculate the cardiac cycle of left atrial different phase(ventricular systole,ventricular diastolic early and ventricular diastolic late)overall average peak strain and strain rate in apical fourchamber view and apical twochamber view by Echo PAC workstation 2D speckle tracking software.the changes of left atrial function in patients with paroxysmal lone atrial fibrillation are observed.Following up for 3 months after radiofrequency ablation for patients with atrial fibrillation to understand the short-term recurrence after operation.Results:(1)Compared with those of healthy control group,age,heart rate,IVS,LVPWT,E / A and other indexes were no significant(P > 0.05);e? of paroxysmal LAF group was lower;E / e? of paroxysmal LAF group was higher(p<0.05).(2)Compared with the healthy control group,the strain and strain rate of paroxysmal LAF group left atrial in ventricular systole,ventricular early diastolic and late diasto-lic were all decreased(P < 0.05).(3)The multiple linear regression analysis showed that the paroxysmal lone atrialfibrillation was an independent determinant of left atrial strain and strain rate decreased in ventricular systolic,ventricular early diastolic and late diastolic.(4)Univariate logistic regression analysis showed that LASa reduced is the only important early predictors of recurrent atrial fibrillation recurrence(apical fourchamber view OR:0.017,CI:0-0.845,P = 0.041,apical twochamber view OR:0.30,CI:0.001-0.992,P = 0.049).Conclusion:(1)The reconstruction of the function of auxiliary pump,storage and pipeline can be found in patients with paroxysmal LAF before left atrial structure remodeling by two-dimensional speckle tracking technique.(2)The overall mean peak strain and strain rate of the left atrialin in patients with paro-xysmal LAF were reduced.(3)There was a correlation between the changes of left atrial myocardial function and paroxysmal lone atrial fibrillation.(4)The decrease of LASa is associated with early recurrence after catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation.
