Objective: With the development of economy and medical technology in our country, most patients with hip fracture can get timely and effective treatment. However, due to the increase of life expectancy and other diseases such as osteoporosis often associated with the elderly, the incidence of re-fractures after hip fracture is relatively high, seriously affecting the quality of life of the elderly. Therefore, the prevention of fractures in elderly patients with hip fracture is of great significance. To analyze the causes of post-fractures in elderly patients with hip fracture and the related influential factors,so as to provide a basis for prevention of hip re-fracture.Methods:From January 2015 to September 2017,204 elderly patients with hip fracture undergoing surgery in the Department of Spinal and Joint Surgery,Shengjing Hospital,China Medical University were followed up to analyze the influencing factors of hip re-fracture.The influencing factors included the patient's age, sex, primary fracture type, time from fracture to operation, postoperative functional exercise,anti-osteoporosis treatment, living environment(urban or rural),combined medical conditions. The medical diseases include Cerebrovascular disease,Parkinson's disease,Alzheimer's disease and Respiratory diseases. Results:Twenty cases of hip re-fracture occurred in 204 elderly patients with hip fracture, the incidence rate was 9.80%.Age,gender,type of primary fracture, postoperative functional exercise,anti-osteoporosis treatment, and combined medical conditions are the influencing factors of hip re-fracture in the elderly. Conclusion : In the treatment of hip fracture in the elderly, appropriate surgical modalities should be selected to actively treat internal diseases and anti-osteoporosis treatment.Postoperative guidance and nursing should be strengthened to prevent further hip fracture and improve patient life.
