Objective:To investigate the relationship between serum soluble ST2 and acute myocardial infarction(AMI)and investigate its predictive value in the short-term prognosis of myocardial infarction.Methods:(1)We included a total of 118 patients with acute coronary syndrome who were hospitalized in the Shengjing Hospital of China Medical University and divided into two groups:76 patients were diagnosed with AMI(including 35 patients with STEMI and 41 patients with NSTEMI)and 42 patients with unstable angina pectoris. The relationship between serum soluble ST2 concentration(s ST2)and myocardial infarction was compared.(2)According to their MACEs occurrence or not, analyze the predictive value of s ST2 in short-term prognosis of patients with acute myocardial infarction.Results:(1)The differences of s ST2,BNP,c Tn I and LVEF between the two groups were statistically significant(P <0.05);(2)The serum soluble ST2 levels in patients with STEMI were significantly higher than those in patients with NSTEMI and unstable angina, and serum ST2 levels in patients with NSTEMI were significantly higher than those in patients with unstable angina, the differences were statistically significant(P <0.05),(3)In AMI group, there was a positive correlation between serum soluble ST2 level and c Tn I(r = 0.586,P <0.001),and positively correlated with BNP(r = 0.305,P = 0.007),and negatively correlated with LVEF(r=-0.392,P <0.001);(4)The value of serum soluble ST2 in predicting the prognosis of acute myocardial infarction patients by ROC curve showed that the area under the curve corresponding to s ST2 was 0.893(P <0.001),and the area under the curve corresponding to the three combined tests was 0.902(P <0.001),which were significantly higher than those under BNP and cTnI(P <0.05).Conclusion:(1)Serum soluble ST2 level is related to the severity of acute myocardial infarction in clinic, but not to the infarct site.(2)The level of serum s ST2 has a certain correlation with adverse cardiovascular events within 30 days in AMI patients.
