| Objective: To explore the related risk factors of nonunion of femoral fractures after operation. Methods: Between January 2014 and August 2016,22 patients with femoral nonunion were enrolled in our department.According to the gender and the age of the nonunion patients,44 patients were obtained to collect the same period of fracture healing. Then the clinical data of those patients were retrospectively analyzed. The differences of related factors such as smoking history, history of alcohol abuse, hypertension, diabetes mellitus, osteoporosis, injury mechanism, type of fracture, choice of implant and internal fixation failure were analyzed. Results: Risk factors such as tabacco use, history of alcohol abuse, diabetes mellitus,high-energy trauma, comminuted fracture, unstable fracture, screw fixation and internal fixation failure were higher in patients with nonunion than those healing group,The difference was statistically significant(P <0.05).The patients with nonunion had higher rates of hypertension, osteoporosis, open fractures and multiple fractures than those with fracture healing, but the difference was not statistically significant(P> 0.05).Conclusion: There is a tabacco use, history of alcoholism, diabetes mellitus, high energy injury of fractures, comminuted fractures, unstable fractures, failure of fixation with screws and internal fixation, which are the risk factors for nonunion of femoral fractures. |
