| Objective: To compare the clinical treatments of posterior ankle fractures with extendable external fixator and supporting plate.Method: From January 2013 to September 2014,36 patients with ankle fractures who were treated with minimally invasive osteosynthesis. There were 22 males and 14 females, with an averageage of 36.2 years old(ranged,18 to 65).The duration from injuries to operation ranged from 2 hours to 7 days. The fractures of ankle posterior lateral oblique were closed reduced and fixed with extendable external fixator. The fractures of the ankle after some hard reset were reduced and fixed under the open through the ankle joint posterolateral incision exposed fracture blocle.Baird-Jackson scoring system was used to evaluate clinical effects. Results: The fractures got healing with an average time of 12 weeks(ranged,10 to 16).According to the Baird-Jackson scoring system, the mean score of ankle function was 95.6±2.6.the patients, excellent in 23 cases(63%),good in 11 cases(31%),fair in 2 cases(6%).Conclusion: The surgical method of minimally invasive osteosynthesis by extendable external fixator ensured the anatomical join restoration, protect the blood supply of fracture end, rebuild the function of ankle joint, obtain satisfactory clinical results in treating ankle fractures. |
