Prevalence And Influencing Factors Of MCI Among Community Elderly In Kazakhs

Objective: To provide a basis for the early detection and diagnosis of AD in Kazak by understanding the status of MCI(mild cognitive impairment)and its influencing factors in the Kazak community.Methods: Results: A face-to-face questionnaire survey was conducted among 3200 elderly people aged 60 years or over in the Aletai area of Xinjiang.Further qualitative analysis of semi-structured interviews is conducted to further understand the influencing factors of MCI in the elderly in Kazakh.Results: 1.The prevalence of MCI in the elderly in Kazakh community is 9.94%,and the prevalence of MCI is 0.44% higher than that in the whole country.2.diabetes mellitus(P=0.001 OR=1.59095%CI=1.204~2.099),hypertension(P<0.001 2.670),drinking alcohol and smoking and smoking =2.58495%CI=1.462~4.565)is a risk factor for the prevalence of MCI in the Kazak community;the primary and above education level(P<0.001 OR=0.081 95%CI=0.854~1.436),the high family monthly income(P=0.001 OR=0.174 95%CI=0.105~0.271),the marriage(P<0.001 OR=0.294 95%CI=0.223~ 0.389),the city residence,and the mental labor 95%CI=0.381~0.654),plant based diet(P=0.003 OR=0.47495%CI=0.365~0.389),P=0.001 OR=0.580 95%CI=0.462~0.663,good health(P=0.001 OR=0.07095%CI=0.010~0.210)and social support(P=0.002 OR=0.939)are the protective factors for the elderly in the Kazakh community.Conclusion: 1.The prevalence rate of MCI in the elderly Kazak community is high.2.The main influencing factors of MCI in community Kazakh elderly are chronic diseases,living habits and social support.
