Objective:To explore the relationship between cognitive function in epileptic patients and anxiety?depression, and to analyze their other influence factors.Methoths:In our study,139 epilepsy patients who met criterias and 80 health people at the same time were tested with Mini-mental State Examination(MMSE)?Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)?Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)? Self-rating depression scale(SDS).We used statistical software to organize and analyze data.Results:1.The MMSE,MoCA and visual/executive function, memory, language, abstract ability and orientation scores of the epilepsy group were significantly lower than that of the control group, and the SAS,SDS scores were significantly higher than that of the control group.2.In single factor analysises, the cognitive function of epileptic patients was correlated with age, educational level, onset age, duration, frequency of seizures, the number of antiepileptic drugs, anxiety scores and depression scores. The anxiety and depression of epileptic patients were correlated with cognitive function, educational level, frequency of seizures and the number of antiepileptic drugs.3.In multiple factor analysises, the cognitive function of epileptic patients was positively correlated with educational level, and negatively correlated with onset age,the number of antiepileptic drugs, and anxiety scores. In epileptic patients the anxiety scores were negatively correlated educational level, and positively correlated with frequency of seizures. The depression scores were positively correlated with the number of antiepileptic drugs, and negatively correlated with educational level.Conclusions:1.There are widespread cognitive impairment in epileptic patients; And their anxiety and depression were significantly higher than the nomal person.2.In epileptic patients the lower of educational level, the later of onset age,the more variety of antiepileptic drugs, and the higher of anxiety score, ending with the more seirous of cognitive impairment.3.In epileptic patients the lower of educational level and the more frequent the seizures, ending with the higher of anxiety scores; The lower of educational level and the more variety of antiepileptic drugs, ending with the higher of depression scores.
