Objective: To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of rubella in Liaoning Province,to understand the trend of rubella epidemiology in recent years,to evaluate the effect of rubella vaccine in national immunization planning,in order to put forward the next rubella prevention and control strategy and suggestions. Methods: analyze the data of rubella in disease surveillance information management system by epidemiology. Results: 2005-2016,cases of rubella are reported every year in Liaoning Province and the incidence rate was 10.50/10 million. The number of cases in 4-6 months accounted for 73.33% of the total number of diseases. The incidence of the highest incidence in the city was 25.60/10 million, and the lowest city was 0.83/10 million. The proportion of student cases reached 54.51%,the annual average incidence of the first three age groups was 15-19,10-14 and 20-24 years old.The incidence rates were 57.75/10 million,32.35/10,and 30.37/10 million. Before Expanded Programme on Immunization(2005-2010 years),the average incidence rate of rubella in Liao Ning province was 15.24/10 million. After implementation(2011-2016 years),the incidence rate was 5.88/10 million. The median age of onset was 18.12 years old before EPI and the median age of onset was 17.83 years old after EPI.Conclusion: The incidence of rubella is obviously seasonal in Liaoning province. The incidence rate is high in 4-6 months. Most cases are concentrated in economically developed, large population and large mobility areas. The age of 10-24 years old crowd is high, and the proportion of students is relatively large. After EPI,the annual average incidence rate of rubella decreased significantly, but it did not break the inherent epidemic rule of rubella, and the age of onset did not shift significantly. While the incidence of rubella decreased, the risk of occurrence of CRS was not increased.Significant results were achieved in EPI.We should continue to carry out a wide range of routine vaccination with rubella vaccine, and take comprehensive measures to strengthen surveillance, control outbreaks and health education,so as to further reduce incidence rate of rubella.
