Combined Treatment Of Chinese And Western Medicine With Schizophrenia With Metabolic Syndrome

Objective Schizophrenia is one of the major mental illnesses.The patient's lifelong prevalence is high.Because psychotic patients need long-term use of antipsychotic medications and their will and behavior,the incidence of metabolic syndrome in patients with schizophrenia is high.Far higher than the normal population.This study evaluated the efficacy of the treatment of schizophrenia with metabolic syndrome in terms of clinical efficacy and safety,and provided a better treatment plan for patients with schizophrenia with metabolic syndrome.Methods The 200 patients with schizophrenia complicated with metabolic syndrome who were admitted to our hospital from 2015 to 2016 were randomly divided into 4 groups using the digital table method: western medicine group,traditional Chinese medicine group A,traditional Chinese medicine group B and acupuncture group.The levels of glucose and lipid metabolism in each group were measured and the scale was evaluated.The curative effect of different treatment methods on patients with schizophrenia complicated with metabolic syndrome was evaluated.Results Western medicine group,traditional Chinese medicine A,B group and catgut embedding group all reduced blood sugar,total cholesterol and triglyceride levels in patients.Chinese medicine group and embedding group can reduce the body mass index of patients,and can also help negative symptoms of antipsychotic drugs.The mechanism of action may be due to Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture embedding treatment can increase serum SOD levels,reduce MDA,i NOS,TNF-?and LEP levels are related.Western medicine group had the most adverse reactions,including severe liver and kidney dysfunction and electrocardiogram changes.There were few adverse events in Chinese medicine group and embedding group,and there was no index of liver and kidney function.Therefore,the treatment of patients in traditional Chinese medicine and embedding thread group Compliance is better than western medicine treatment.Conclusion Chinese medicine symptomatic treatment and acupuncture and embedding therapy are effective in patients with schizophrenia complicated with metabolic syndrome who have been taking antipsychotic drugs for a long time.The incidence of side effects is low and can help improve the psychiatric symptoms of patients.
