Objectives To evaluate the correlation between coronary artery tortuosity caused by myocardial bridge and coronary atherosclerosis. Methods The data of 88 patients with suspected coronary heart disease in North China University of Science and Technology Affiliated Hospital during the period from March 2015 to June 2016 was analyzed retrospectively, who were diagnosed with coronary artery tortuosity caused by myocardial bridge by computed tomography coronary angiography As an experimental group, that is MB group. At the same time, the contemporary data of patients diagnosed with coronary artery tortuosity without myocardial bridge was selected as the control group, that is non-MB group.Observe coronary atherosclerosis as well as coronary artery stenosis, and collect their age, gender, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, smoking history, family history and BMI.Firstly, the difference was compared between two groups in occurrence rate of coronary atherosclerosis in terms of whole coronary artery, anterior segment of tortuosity, tortuosity segment, posterior Segment of tortuosity. What,s more, the difference was compared between two groups in coronary artery stenosis degree in terms of anterior segment of tortuosity, tortuosity segment and posterior segment of tortuosity. At the same time,According to MB classification, the MB group is divided into complete MB group and incomplete MB group, compare the difference in the incidence of coronary atherosclerosis between the two groups. Finally, the difference was compared between two groups in terms of their age, gender, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, smoking history, family history and BMI.Results The occurrence rate of coronary atherosclerosis on whole coronary artery(29.5%vs73.9%),anterior segment of tortuosity(23.8%vs47.7%),tortuosity segment(3.4%vs17.0%)and posterior segment of tortuosity(2.3%vs11.4%)in the MB group is lower than that in the non-MB group, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).The occurrence rate of mild stenosis on anterior segment of tortuosity(17.0%vs37.5%),tortuosity segment(2.3%vs13.6%),and posterior segment of tortuosity(1.1%vs9.1%)in the MB Group is lower than that in the non-MB Group, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).The occurrence rate of moderate to severe stenosis on anterior segment of tortuosity(6.8%vs10.2%),tortuosity segment(1.1%vs3.4%),and posterior segment of tortuosity(1.1%vs2.2%)in the MB Group is lower than that in the non-MB Group, the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of coronary atherosclerosis was lower in the complete MB group than in the incomplete MB group(18.4%vs38.0%),the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusions Compared with non-MB,the patients diagnosed with coronary artery tortuosity caused by MB,especially complete MB,have a lower incidence of coronary atherosclerosis on whole coronary artery, anterior segment of tortuosity, tortuosity segment and posterior segment of tortuosity.Compared with non-MB,the patients diagnosed with coronary artery tortuosity caused by MB,especially complete MB,have a lower incidence of mild to moderately severe stenosis on the anterior segment of tortuosity, tortuosity segment and posterior segment of tortuosity.
