BackgroundNowadays, liver disease is one of the most common human diseases in the modem society, causing widespread social and personal burden, and seriously threatening human health. The occurrence and development of liver diseases are related to many factors, but most of them are lack of conclusive evidence. As the research hotspot of liver disease in recent years,it is reported that EB virus and cytomegalovirus are closely related to the liver diseases, especially autoimmune liver disease[1-9].EB virus and cytomegalovirus infection rate is much high around the world, more than 90%of the adult serum antibody are positive, which has left a big hidden danger for the prevention of liver disease, but at the same time,it also left a new clue and thought for the medical workers[10].This article aims to explore the correlation between EB virus, cytomegalovirus infection and different liver diseases, and learn its preliminary clinical characteristics.MethodsThis study reviewed the liver diseases parents of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Kunming Medical University from September 2016 to February 2018,which were admitted to the hospital with abnormal liver function.EB virus, cytomegalovirus antibody and nucleic acid were under detection. The liver function, age, sex, symptoms, signs and days of inhospital were included in the analysis.Enzyme-linked and Immunosorbent Assay(ELISA)were used to detect IgG and IgM antibodies of EBV and CMV.Polymerase and Chain Reaction(PCR)were used to detect EBV-DNA and CMV-DNA.Continuous dates were described as meanąstandard deviation(SD)or medians, first and third quartiles,as appropriate. All statistical analyses were performed by SPSS 22.0 software package(SPSS Inc,Chicago,IL).Continuous data were compared by Student's t test or ANOVA test, and categorical.Enumeration data was executed by chi-square.A P values<0.05 was considered significant.Results1.During the period of study,376 cases were included in the study, and 313 cases were infected with EB virus, accounting for 83.2%in the liver disease group.310 cases were infected with cytomegalovirus, accounting for 82.4%in the liver disease group.Among 52 controls,44 cases were infected with EB virus, accounting for 84.6%in the normal group, and 45 cases were infected with cytomegalovirus, accounting for 86.5%in the normal group.2.376 cases of liver disease were divided into 11 groups, including 61 cases of Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),25 cases of alcoholic fatty liver disease(AFLD),12 cases of viral hepatitis A(HAV),66 cases of hepatitis B virus hepatitis(HBV),and 20 cases of virus hepatitis C(HCV),10 cases of drug-induced liver injury(DILI),70 cases of autoimmune hepatitis-?(AIH-?),17 cases of autoimmune hepatitis-?(AIH-?),44 cases of primary biliary cholangitis(PBC),11 patients with Primary sclerosing cholangitis(PSC)and 40 patients with unknown cause liver injury. There were no significant differences in age,sex and smoking history between liver disease group and normal controls.3.Compared with the normal controls, the EB virus infection of the patients with autoimmune hepatitis-? was higher(P=0.031,OR=6.182),and there were no significant differences between the other groups and controls(P>0.05).4.Compared with the normal controls, there was no significant difference in cytomegalovirus infection among all groups(P>0.05).5.EBV-DNA has a correlation between liver enzyme and inpatient days, including alkaline phosphatase(ALP;P<0.01),total bilirubin(TBIL;P<0.01),alanine aminotransferase(ALT;P<0.01),aspartate aminotransferase(AST;P<0.01)and hospitalization days(P<0.05).6.Compared with the normal controls, the group of autoimmune hepatitis with EB virus, including the type ? and the type ?,showed a higher tendency to merge with other autoimmune diseases(AIH-?,<0.01,OR=8.775;AIH-?,<0.01,OR=9.100).Conclusions1.EB virus and cytomegalovirus infection among liver diseaes are common.2.The infection rate of EB virus and cytomegalovirus is generally high.At present, there is no effective prevention strategy and policy.3.EB virus is closely related to the autoimmune hepatitis type ?.The activity of the virus is in direct proportion to the liver cell damage, but there were few clear evidence of pathogenicity mechanism.Be thought to the molecular simulation mechanism and the immune cross reaction.4.AIH infected with EB virus is associated with a higher proportion of other autoimmune diseases.
