Investigation And Analysis Of Blood Routine Indicators Of Migrant Workers In Suzhou Industrial Park

BackgroundWith the rapid development of economy,as a demonstration area for the reform and opening up of experimental fields and international cooperation,more and more migrant workers come to Suzhou Industrial Park.At present,there are about 80.78 million permanent residents in the park,of which more than 83 percent of them are non-permanent residents.Compared with 2010,the floating population increased by 23%.It can be seen that migrant workers have become an indispensable force in the modernization of the park.Blood routine detection is the most common basic detection project in clinic,mainly including white blood cells,red blood cells and platelets.Its detection method is simple and fast and accurate.Therefore,through the analysis of the blood routine indicators of migrant workers,it can help to understand the health status of the population,discover health risks and then explore targeted prevention strategies.ObjectiveTo analyze the migrant workers routine blood indicators of abnormal situation,and depict the abnormal characteristics of routine blood index in migrant workers.MethodsThe survey was conducted by migrant workers who had been admitted to the physical examination center of Suzhou Industrial Park from June 2015 to January 2017.It was tested for height,weight,blood pressure,blood routine,etc.,and recorded basic information such as gender,age,native place and so on.According to the different provinces from which the migrant workers came from,the comparison was made in several provinces with a large number of migrant workers(﹥5%).Random sampling was used to randomly select 4,000 people from each province,including 2,000 men and women.In the present study,the participants with WBC> 10.0×109/L,RBC(male)﹤4.0×1012/L or RBC(female)﹤3.5×1012/L,HGB(male)﹤120g/L or HGB(female)﹤110g/L,PLT﹤100×109/L were defined as abnormal results.After filtering and sorting,SPSS 22.0 and SAS 9.2 were used for statistical analysis.All reported P values were two-tailed,and those ﹤ 0.05 were considered statistically significant.Results1.The abnormal rates of WBC,RBC,HGB and PLT among migrant workers in Suzhou Industrial Park are 2.5%,1.1%,3.6% and 1.0% respectively.Among them,the abnormal rates of WBC,RBC,HGB and PLT in males were 2.0%,1.1%,1.5% and 0.5%,respectively.The abnormal rates of WBC,RBC,HGB and PLT in female were 2.9%,1.0%,5.7% and 1.6% respectively.In addition,the abnormality rates of WBC,HGB and PLT between men and women were significantly different,respectively.(P < 0.05).2.The abnormal rates of RBC and HGB were significant differences among different provinces(P < 0.05).As the results shown,the highest abnormal rate of RBC was 2.4%,which was observed among migrant workers from Sichuan province.The lowest RBC anomaly rates were 0.6%,which were detected among migrant workers from Anhui and Henan provinces.The abnormal rate of HGB concentration in Gansu province was as high as 4.5%,while that in Jiangsu province was as low as 3.0%.There was no significant difference in the abnormal rate of PLT between different provinces(P =0.060).3.Age was significantly correlated with the abnormal rates of RBC,HGB and PLT of migrant workers in Suzhou Industrial Park.The RBC abnormal rates of migrant workers aged 20-29,30-39 and 40-49 in Suzhou Industrial Park were 1.0%,1.2% and 1.6%,respectively.The abnormal rates of HGB of migrant workers aged 20-29,30-39 and 40-49 in Suzhou Industrial Park were 3.0%,5.0% and 5.1%,respectively.The abnormal rate of PLT among migrant workers aged 20-29,30-39 and 40-49 in Suzhou Industrial Park were 0.9%,1.2% and 1.3%,respectively.The abnormal rates of RBC,HGB and PLT increased with age among migrant workers(P < 0.05).4.The BMI was significantly correlated with the abnormal PLT rate among migrant workers in Suzhou Industrial Park.The abnormal PLT rates of the normal group,the overweight group and the obese group were 0.9%,1.1% and 2.0%,respectively.With the increase of body mass index,the PLT anomaly rate of migrant workers in Suzhou industrial park is on the rise(P < 0.05).However,BMI was not correlated with the abnormal rates of RBC and HGB of migrant workers in Suzhou Industrial Park.Conclusion1.There are significant differences between male and female in the abnormal rates of WBC,HGB and PLT among migrant workers in Suzhou Industrial Park.Abnormal rates of WBC,HGB and PLT in women were higher than those in men.2.The abnormal rates of RBC,HGB and PLT among migrant workers in Suzhou Industrial Park increased with age.3.With the increase of BMI,the abnormal PLT rate of migrant workers in Suzhou Industrial Park increased.
