The Clinical Study Of Resecting Mediastinal Tumor By Using Total Thoracoscopy

OBJECTIVE: Compared to resecting mediastinal tumor by traditional thoracotomy,we mainly analyzed and studied the important meaning and clinical value of resecting mediastinal tumor by using total thoracoscopy.METHODS: From Jan 2015 to Dec 2017,patients in our hospital with resecting mediastinal tumor were taken into this study,which are totally 90 patients.Among those,patients with mediastinal tumor resection by total thoracoscopy were divided into therapeutic group(n=45)while patients with mediastinal tumor resection by traditional thoracotomy were divided into control group(n=45).RESULTS: By comparing the patients in both therapeutic group and control group,we have got several results.First,the ages and BMI of patients in two groups show no obvious difference,as well as other physical indications,including the size of mediastinal tumors,symptoms of patients and the sites of mediastinal tumors,P>0.05.Second,the length of incision,surgery time,blood amount during surgery,chest drain time in both groups show the significant difference,P<0.05,while surgery time and ICU staying time in the therapeutic group are less than that in the control group.The total hospitalization expenses of the treatmentgroup were equal to the total hospitalization expenses of the control group.The incidence of postoperative complications in the treatment group was much lower than that of the control group(P<0.05),and there was no death in both the treatment group and the control group.What's more,the wounds all recovered very well.However,pain lasting time in therapeutic group is much less than that in the control group while patients in therapeutic group are more satisfied with their wound beauty than that in the control group which also has the statistical meaning,P<0.05.CONCLUSION: Under indication,the effect of thoracoscopic mediastinal tumor resection is superior to that of traditional thoracotomy and mediastinum tumor resection.It has good safety,less trauma,less postoperative bleeding,shorter postoperative pain time and faster recovery.Therefore,it is worthy of further clinical promotion.
