| ObjectiveThis study was based on the data collected in investigation during the visit to four of the longevous areas in China(i.e.Longhui,Shaoyang of Hunan Province,Yongfu,Guilin of Guangxi Province,Qiaocheng District,Bozhou of Anhui Province and Rugao,Nantong of Jiangsu Province). We effectively integrated the data with factors potentially relevant to human longevity for a statistical analysis and explored their integrated effects on health and aging. Methods:Based on the findings of previous studies, scales and the advice from experts in the fields, taking the current situation into account,we designed our questionnaire to investigate the living and health condition of the people from both longevous areas and non-longevity areas, which mainly covered 5 factors,i.e.basic individual condition, life styles, physical activity, dietary habit and previous medical history. We included 21 families in longevous areas including 10 centenarians,10 less aged old people, and 83 of the immediate relatives from the next generation of the old people(centenarians and the less aged). The questionnaire included the inquiries of the general conditions of families and the individual conditions of family members. The latter included the basic condition, the physical examination reports, the physical activity of last 30 days, life styles, dietary habits and previous medical history. We established the database using Epi Data3.1,and performed statistical analysis with SPSS13.0.Measurement data that obeyed normal distribution were stated as ±S,and paired t test was applied to analyse the mean difference between the two groups.Data that did not conform to normal distrubution were described in the form of median(max-min),and the intergroup mean difference was analysed in non-parameters Wilcoxon symbols test. The significance testing of counting data was performed by chi-square test and fisher ’ s precise test.Difference was statistically significant if P<0.05.Results:1.Clean fuel is more commonly used in families of the longevous compared with the non-longevous and salt-intake per person each month in the longevous families is less than non-longevous families.2.There is statistical significance between both both groups of people in age aspect,we can think average age of longevity elder is higher than non-longevity elder.3.Dairy products and fruits are more frequently consumed in the longevous families than in non-longevous families.4.There is no significant difference between the two groups in respects of physical activities, serum indicators(cholesterol,Triglyceride and fast blood glucose),life style(smoking and drinking).Conclusions:1.Enhancing the ratio of clean fuel and limiting salt-intake per person each month which can promote the longevity of people.2.Increasing the amount of dairy products and fruits can prolong the longevity of people effectively. |
