Abstract/Summary:
Objectives This study aims to expound, visualize and verify the correlations between longevity indicators and climatic factors by different spatial linear regressions models, and to explore the impacts of environmental altitude, single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNP),lifestyle, and traditional dietary habits on metabolic syndromes such as fatty liver disease(FLD)in ethnic middle-aged or elder people in karst landform. Methods The Geographically Weighted Regression(GWR)and Multiscale Geographically Weighted Regression(MGWR)were introduced to illustrate the spatial correlations between longevity indicator(LI%),centenarian index(CI%),and climatic conditions. The binary regression model and mediating effect model were introduced to evaluate the impacts of environmental altitude, single nucleotide polymorphisms, lifestyle, and traditional dietary habits on FLD and dyslipidemia. The Arc Map,MGWR,SPSS,and R were used to calculate the statistical parameter, including the Moran’s I,adjusted odds ratio(a OR),estimated value(EV),and p-value.Results 1.The longevity indicators in the Guijiang River basin were relatively higher in the seven basins, the mean and standard deviation of LI%and CI%were 2.49±0.63 and 2.93±1.20,respectively.LI%(Moran’s I=0.652,Z=7.386,p<0.001)and CI%(Moran’s I=0.295,Z=3.606,p<0.001)showed significantly spatial autocorrelation and presented significantly spatial aggregation in the Guijiang River basin.2.The MGWR models showed that atmospheric pressure has a significantly negative correlation with LI%(EV=-0.389,p=0.008)and CI%(EV=-0.590,p<0.001),precipitation has a significantly positive correlation with LI%(EV=0.253,p=0.003),but negative correlation with CI%(EV=-0.233,p=0.027).3.The prevalence of FLD of 2057 subjects was 14.4%,the prevalence of FLD in male and female were 20.7%and 10.4%,respectively(X~2=41.719,p<0.001).The risk factors of FLD included TFEB rs11754668 GC+GG(a OR=1.455,95%CI:1.068-1.982,p=0.018),male(a OR=2.111,95%CI:1.611-2.767,p<0.001),age 50-69 years old(a OR=1.779,95%CI:1.212-2.611,p=0.003),and more than 70 years old(a OR=1.476,95%CI:1.065-2.046,p=0.019).The interaction between regular alcohol consumption and residential altitude(RA)above 217 meters showed a significant negative effect on FLD(a OR=2.102,95%CI:1.439-3.069,p<0.001).RA≥217 m had a significant negative moderating effect on the drinking-FLD type 1 model(Effect=0.175,95%CI:0.112-0.239,p<0.001).4.The prevalence of dyslipidemia in 2057 subjects was 37.2%.The interaction between RA 181-216 meters and APOE rs72654473 CA+AA showed a significant positive effect on the serum total lipid level.RA 81-216 m had a significant positive moderating effect on the APOE rs72654473-dyslipidemia type 1 model(Effect=-0.204,95%CI:-0.330 to-0.078,p=0.002).Conclusion 1.The hotspots of longevity indicators are located and clustered in the Guijiang River basin with a typical karst landform. The relatively lower atmospheric pressure and suitable precipitation contributed to the longevity phenomenon in the study region.2.The polymorphism of TFEB rs11754668,male,old age,and interaction between RA and alcohol consumption showed a significantly negative effect on FLD in karst rural areas.3.The serum total lipid level is influenced by the polymorphism of APOE rs72654473,age,and RA.The polymorphism of APOE rs72654473,physical work, frequency of oil tea intake, and RA had complex and comprehensive effects on the total lipid level.
