Objective:In order to improve food safety supervision and improve food safety level,a total of 856 food and beverage complaints and reports received from 2014 to 2015 in Gulou District of Nanjing city were quantitatively analyzed.Methods:Using cross-sectional survey and descriptive statistical analysis method,comparative analysis of food safety supervision mode was carried out in different ountries.The food safety regulatory status in Gulou District of Nanjing city was described.From 2014 to 2015 a total of 856 cases complaint were accepted which were checked one by one.The source of complaints,time,distribution,management,the number of complaints,complaints contents,processing results were analyzed.The common hot spots of complaint reporting in catering links were summarized and the causes and rules were analyzed.Result:Within the two years,total 804 effective reports and complaints about catering industry have been received in Gulou District of Nanjing City,mainly in the second and third quarter of the year accounting for 66.3%.Making a phone call is the main approach to report and complain,which accounts for 85.9%of total.Issues reported and complained mostly occur in social catering,small and micro catering businesses,account for 45.5%of total.The number of reported medium-sized and big-sized enterprises accounts for 25.5%of total.Non-standard hygiene management,unlicensed business,no health certificate,containing foreign matter,causing discomfort,affecting residents and abnormalities in sensory properties are the seven major issues contributing to reports and complaints.Among them,containing foreign matter accounts takes up 22.9%of the total number and takes the first place.Additio-nally,343 demands of supervision account for 42.7%of total number of appeals and takes the first place.Conclusion:Many difficulties exist in food safety supervision in Gulou District,Nanjing City.It is important to try to guarantee food safety and prevent food safetyaccidentts by taking measures of combined marketing supervision accounting to domestic and foreign outstanding experience.
