A Single-center Study Of Correlation Between Uric Acid Calculi And Metabolic Syndrome In Adult Upper Urinary Tract In Xinjiang

Objective To study the relationship between uric acid calculi and metabolic syndrome in adult upper urinary tract in Xinjian.Methods We retrospectively analyzed medical records of 734 adult patients from first affiliated hospital of Xinjiang Medical University,Stone IR automatic analyzer was used to analyze stone composition of upper urinary tract calculi.The existing calculus components are divided into calcium stone,uric acid stone and infection stone.According to the Chinese medical association diabetes branch(CDS)diagnostic criteria of the MS,the patients were divided as metabolic syndrome group and nonmetabolic syndrome group.Compared the differences of the components in the two groups.Compared the differences of uric acid composition between the MS group and the non-MS group between the Han and Uygur groups.Results The proportion of uric acid stones in the MS group was higher then the non-MS group(P<0.01).The proportion of calcium stone andinfection stone in the non-MS group was higher then the MS group(P<0.01).Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that uric acid stones were associated with metabolic syndrome in the general population.The risk of uric acid stones in the MS group was155% higher than that in the non-MS group.High blood glucose and high density lipoprotein are the influencing factors of uric acid stone formation(P<0.05).The OR of High blood glucose was 2.494(1.511-4.117)(P<0.01),and the OR of high-density lipoprotein was 2.075(1.388-3.100)(P<0.01).High blood glucose of Han is the influence factors with uric acid calculus(P<0.05),OR of high blood glucose in Han patients was2.615(1.333-5.130)(P=0.005),high blood glucose and high density lipoprote of Uygur patients is the influence factors of uric acid calculus(P<0.05),the OR of Uygur diabetes was 2.381(1.098-5.161)(P=0.0028),the OR of high density lipoprotein was 3.235(1.761-5.941)(P=0.01).The risk OR of uric acid stones in Uygur metabolic syndrome patients is higher than that of Han nationality(2.938 > 2.275).Conclusions There is a certain correlation between metabolic syndrome and the formation of uric acid calculi in upper urinary tract in Han and Uygur ethnic.The risk of uric acid stone formation in upper urinary tract of Uygur patients with metabolic syndrome may be higher than that of Han nationality.
