Objective: To study the correlation between serum cystatin C(Cys C)level and cerebrovascular in-stent restenosis. Methods: Retrospective analysis clinical data of 171 patients who underwent cerebrovasscular stent implantation, followed up for 6 to 12 months and rechencked by digital subtraction angiography(DSA)or Computed tomography angiography(CTA).According to the secondly DSA or CTA result,we devided the patients into 2 groups:In-stent restenosis(ISR)group(n=25)and Non In-stent restenosis(NISR)group(n=146).Luminal diameter stenosis ?50% of the original target lesion was used as the criterion of in-stent restenosis(ISR).We compared Cys C levels in two groups.Analysis whether age, gender, diabets, hypertension, coronary heart disease, somking, drinking, low density lipoprotein, high density lipoprotein, triglycede, uric acid, creatinine, cystatin C,total bilirubin, homocysteine, fibrinogen the factors affect In-stent restenosis. Then the patients were divided into 4 groups according to their serum Cys C level.Incidence of ISR was compared among these 4 groups.Risk factors for ISR were analyzed by Logistic regression analysis. All data were carefully verified and entried.Using SPSS 21.0 software inspected and analyzed the data, the test P< 0.05 was statistically significant. Results: Cys C levels in ISR groups(1.18±0.23)mg/L higher than NISR groups(1.04±0.30)mg/L.Cys C levels in two groups have satistically significant. The incidence of ISR and Cys C level were higher in ISR group than NISR group.Logistic regression analysis showed that Cys C level and diabetes mellitus are the independent risk factors for ISR(OR=2.658,OR=5.138).Conclusion: Cys C level in patients is positively correlated with the incidence of ISR and is a risk factor for ISR after cerebrovascular stent implantation.
