Objective: The purpose of this study was to investigate the cases of colon polyps diagnosed in the department of gastroenterology of the fourth clinical medical college of Xinjiang medical university, summarize the characteristics of sex,age composition and endoscopic features of colon polyps, explore the distribution of TCM syndromes and their correlation with age, sex, pathological type, and analyze the correlation between sex and dyslipidemia rate and high BMI value. To provide a reference method for clinical prevention and treatment of colonic polyps in the future. Methods: descriptive epidemiological study was used to design the questionnaire of TCM syndromes of colonic polyps, fill in the statistical tables of colonoscopy, pathology, blood lipid and BMI,and select 150 eligible cases according to the inclusion criteria and exclusion criteria.According to the patient's TCM syndrome type questionnaire and western medicine diagnosis data, establish a database.Through statistical treatment, the distribution of gender and age, microscopic manifestations, pathological results, distribution characteristics of TCM syndromes and the correlation with objective indicators were analyzed? Results:The average age of colonic polyps was 9.33±0.815 years, and the peak age range was 60-69 years. The most frequent sites were sigmoid colon and rectum, followed by transverse colon, descending colon, ascending colon and ileocecal part. The main clinical manifestations were constipation, abdominal pain, abdominal distension, dry mouth, bitter mouth and constipation.Polyp smaller than 0.5 cm are that lar, followed by polyps smaller than 0.5-1.0 cm,and finally by polyp larger than 1 cm.The most common pathological types of colonic polyps were tubular adenomas, followed by hyperplastic polyps, inflammatory polyps, villous adenomas and tubular villous adenomas. The distribution pattern of TCM syndrome type is: damp-heat accumulation(48%)>spleen and stomach weakness(32.7%)>qi stagnation and blood stasis(19.3%).the distribution pattern of TCM syndrome type has nothing to do with sex and pathologicaltype, which indicates that colonic polyp is mainly related to damp-heat evil. There was no significant difference in dyslipidemia rate between men and women, and BMI abnormal rate in colon polyps distribution between menand women. Conclusion:Adenomatous polyps are the most common pathological types, and tubular adenomas are the most common.Colonic polyp clinical manifestation is defecate does not form, next abdominal pain, abdominal distension, constipation. The evil of damp-heat plays an important role in the occurrence and recurrence of colonic polyps.people with high blood fat and overweight are more likely to suffer from colonic polyps.
