Objective The purpose of this study was to investigate the distri bution characteristics of LPA gene SNPs in Guangxi Zhuang population a nd to analyze the correlation between LPA gene polymorphism and corona ry heart disease.Methods Used the Case-control study methods,selection of Gua ngxi Zhuang patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)as a case group,unrelated to the Guangxi Zhuang health people as control group,collecto n the general and clinical data.Detected the serum lipoprotein(a)concentr ation by ELISA.Identified the genotype of LPA gene SNPs(rs3798220,r s10455872)by the RT-PCR(Taqman).The correlation between LPA gene polymorphism and coronary heart disease in guangxi zhuang population w as analyzed by comparing the LP(a)concentrations and the genotype of L PA gene SNPs.Results 1.The serum LP(a)concentration of patients with CHD group was higher than that of the healthy group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.01).2.The levels of LP(a)and TG in each g roup of coronary heart disease were higher than those in healthy group,a nd the level of HDL-C was lower than that of the healthy group,and the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.The distribution of gen otype and allele frequency of LPA gene SNP(rs3798220,rs10455872)wa s statistically significant between CHD group and healthy group(P < 0.01).The frequency of TC+CC,AG+GG in CHD group was higher than that in the healthy group,and the frequency of allele C and allele was highe r than that of the healthy group.4.In the healthy group,the LP(a)level of patients with TC+CC genotype and AA genotype was higher than those with TT and AG+GG genotypes,and the difference was statistically signif icant(P<0.05).The level of LP(a)of patients with AG+GG genotype in CHD group was higher than that with AA genotype,and the difference w as statistically significant(P < 0.05).5.At rs3798220,the patients with th e same genotype had a statistically significant difference in TG,HDL-C,and LP(a)levels(P < 0.05).At rs10455872,the patients with the same ge notype had a statistically significant difference in the TG,HDL-C,LDL-C and LP(a)levels(P < 0.05).6.Logistic regression analysis showed that t he elevated level of LP(a)was a risk factor for coronary heart disease(O R=1.049,P < 0.001),and elevated hdl-c was a protective factor for coron ary heart disease.LPA gene SNPs(rs10455872)is an independent risk fact or for coronary heart disease(OR=0.385,P < 0.05).Conclusion The serum LP(a)concentration of patients with co ronary heart disease in Guangxi Zhuang populatuin was higher than health y people,and the elevated LPa level was an independent risk factor for c oronary heart disease.LPA gene polymorphism is closely related to coronary heart disease in Guangxi Zhuang ethnic group.The AG+GG genotype o f LPA gene SNP rs10455872 may be the susceptibility gene of coronary heart disease in Guangxi Zhuang ethnic group.
