Objective1.To establish a competency model of graduate education management team of Guangxi medical universities,provide a scientific basis for evaluating graduate education management specialized in Guangxi.2.To conduct an investigation about the competency situation of graduate education management team of Guangxi medical universities based on the competency model.And understand the self-assessment of their competency status quo.3.Analysis of the current situation and problems of competence,proposed strategies to promote the specialized construction of graduate education management team in Guangxi medical universities,and provide theoretical and practical basis for how to advance the process the specialized construction of graduate education management team.Methods1.Expert interviews,literature analysis and functions analysis were used to form the review and drawn up the competency-related indicators for graduate education management in Guangxi medical universities.2.Through the Delphi method to determine the competency indicators of graduate education management team of Guangxi medical universities,and quantitatively valued weight of carious indicators by way of analytic hierarchy process(AHP).3.Based on the competency model,a competency self-assessment questionnaire was designed to conduct a survey to graduate education management team competency status quo in Guangxi medical universities.Results1.The competency model of graduate education management team of Guangxi medical universities(1)The model was established by way of expert interviews,literature analysis,functions analysis and Delphi method,included five-level indicators,which were political and ideological quality,professional skills competency behavioral competency,professional and moral qualities,physical and mental quality;30 second level indicators,were life and values,knowledge management,communication skills,discipline,self-control ability,etc..(2)The experts under two rounds of the Delphi Consulting were in a high degree of authority with the average values of 0.879 and 0.900 respectively.Delphi method reached the expected effect of convergence in opinions,the coordination coefficients of expert opinions were 0.3195 and 0.389 respectively.The result displayed that the evaluation index system tallied with logical concordance demands(CR<0.10),which accounted for the indexes weights of each class were scientific and objective.2.The survey on competency self-assessment of graduate education management team of Guangxi medical universities.(1)The competency self-assessment of respondents was good.In all 30 secondary indicators,more than 50%respondents were considered in line with the extent of their own good;in line with the degree of choice were "barely competent" or "ease." The best three in order of respondents self-assessment cases respectively were responsibility,integrity(both 87.2%);compliance(84.6%),service awareness,life and values,the quality of the quality of both ideological(82.1%).(2)The best three in order of respondents self-assessment cases respectively were medical knowledge(25.6%);psychological knowledge(12.8%);management knowledge,research capacity(both 10.3%).Conclusion1.The qualitative research and quantitative research were combined to establish the competency model of graduate education management team of Guangxi medical universities and competency self-assessment survey,objectivity,which was scientific and practical.2.The professional construction management graduate enrollment has qualified in its infancy of the 4 medical universities in Guangxi.It was shown that the 4 Guangxi medical universities with graduate enrollment eligibility were set independently of the Graduate School engaged in graduate education management.Graduate management have taken the three management models,namely the Graduate School-Secondary College-Department/department(mentor),and was provided with detailed regulations and work rules;the performance of higher education management level,age tends to be younger and have some management experience.But there were still structural imbalances professional,management and other issues need to innovate.Therefore,to improve the professional level through a series of measures,such as the establishment of a scientific hiring system,strengthen the training mechanism and ect.
