Objective To investigate the status of self-perceived burden of Rural elderly cancer patients in Yandu District of Yancheng,and to provide basis for further development of intervention measures to improve the quality of patients' life.Methods According to the inclusion and exclusion criteria,325 Rural elderly cancer patients from April 2017 to December 2017 in six hospitals from Yandu District of Yancheng were selected.The patients were investigated by general data questionnaire,registration forms for disease related information,general data questionnaire of main caregivers,SPBS,SSRS,and CCMQ.To analyze the status of self-perceived burden of Rural elderly cancer patients and the relevant factors.The statistical analysis of data is made by using SPSS21.0 software.The average,standard deviation,frequency and percentage were used to describe the statistics,and the student's t test and F-test were used to test the difference between mean value.The correlation between the total score of self-perceived burden and the factors associated with the social support and cancer coping styles were analyzed by Pearson correlation.The effects of various factors on SPB were analyzed by stratified regression.Results 1.The incidence of SPB in elderly cancer patients from rural areas is 82.2%,of which 66.1% of the patients' SPB is moderate and severe.The total score of self-perceived burden of Rural elderly cancer patients is(30.99±10.36),the biggest burden comes from the economic factors,followed by the emotional factors.2.Single factor analysis showed that different sex,educational level,marital status,job,family per monthly income,reimbursement category of Rural elderly cancer patients with SPB differences are statistically significant.3.The SPB total score and each dimension score,and the social support total score and the objective support of the rural elderly cancer patients,the subjective support dimension score,the face dimension of coping style shows a negative correlation,and it is positively correlated with the avoidance and depression,yield,illusion,and vent dimension score of coping styles.4.Regression analysis showed that 41.70% of variations of SPB level was explained by demographic variables,total social support scores and dimensions,the total scores of cancer coping styles and each dimension.Conclusion 1.In this study,the incidence of SPB in the rural elderly cancer patients was 82.2%,of which 66.1% of the patients' SPB is moderate and severe.2.The SPB of the rural elderly cancer patients is affected by gender,educational level,marital status,job,family per monthly income,reimbursement category,and social support levels and cancer coping styles.3.The results of this study suggest that we should pay more attention to the self-perceived burden of Rural elderly cancer patients in the nursing work.Effective intervention measures should be implemented in clinical practice to improve the quality of life of patients by alleviating the self-perceived burden level.
