Study On The Relationship Between The Distribution Characterieristics Of Chinese Medicine Constitution And Homocysteine Levels In Mild Cognitive Impairment

Objective:To investigate the distribution characterieristics of Chinese Medicine(CM)constitution and its relationship with homocysteine levels in mild cognitive impairment.Method: 152 cases of mild cognitive impairment(Mild Cognitive Impairment,MCI)and non MCI normal controls(Normal Control,NC)62 cases in the same age were classified according to the constitution of CM and detected the level of homocysteine(Homocysteine,Hcy),and then the logistic regression analysis methods was used to analyze the influence of common CM constitution and its associated Hcy abnormal increase in the MCI groups on the pathogenesis of MCI.Result:(1)There was a significant difference between the two groups in the distribution ratio of the moderate constitution,partial constitution and the types of constitution(P< 0.01);(2)The differences of the serum Hcy levels and Hcy abnormal rate between the two groups were of statistical significance(P<0.05);(3)There was no difference between the two groups of Hcy normal object in the constituent ratios;The constitution in two groups of Hcy abnormal increase were different(P<0.05);(4)Logistic regression analysis: The risk of MCI in Yang deficiency,phlegm dampness,and blood stasis is significantly higher than that of other constitution and the three kinds of constitution and abnormal increase of Hcy has a correlation with suffering from MCI(P<0.05);moderate constitution and qi deficiency were negatively correlated with MCI.Conclusion:(1)moderate constitution and qi deficiency constitution may be the protective constitution of MCI;phlegm dampness,and blood stasis,Yang deficiency are the MCI susceptible constitution;(2)Hcy levels and Hcy abnormal rate in patients with MCI is higher than the NC group;(3)phlegm dampness,blood stasis and Yang deficiency are the main biased constitution of MCI patients with elevated Hcy;(4)phlegm dampness,blood stasis,Yang deficiency and the abnormal increase of Hcy are the risk factors of MCI.
