Clinical Study On Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis With Huatan Qu-shi Formula By Both Chinese Medicine Orally And Combined With Huashi Chinese Medicine Decoction Fumigation

Objective:To investigate and analyze the clinical curative effect of Huatan Qu-Shi Formula in treating knee osteoarthritis(KOA)by both Chinese Medicine orally and combined with Huashi Chinese Medicine decoction fumigation.Methods: Patients were collected from the outpatient department of the Department of Orthopaedics of the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to conduct randomized controlled trials.60 patients with phlegm-stagnation type knee osteoarthritis(KOA)who met the criteria were randomly divided into treatment group and control group,30 patients each group.Ratio treatment group: control group = 1:1.The treatment group was treated with Huatan Qu-shi chinese medicine orally and combined with Huashi Chinese medicine decoction fumigation.The control group was treated with Huatan Qu-shi Chinese medicine,and no-drug simulated fumigation was performed at the same time.The two groups of treatment were 2 weeks for a course.Before treatment,Lequesne index assessment and Visual Analogue Score(VAS score)were applied to all diagnosed patients before and after treatment.At the same time,adverse events occurred during the experiment were observed and recorded.Through statistical analysis,a comprehensive evaluation was performed on the efficacy and safety of Huayu Qu-Shi Formula chinese medicine orally and combined with chinese medicine decoction fumigation.treatment for phlegm-stagnation type knee osteoarthritis.Results: 1.There was no statistically significant difference in gender,age and course of disease between the two groups(P>0.05).The results were comparable and reliable.2.Safety: Before treatment,blood tests were performed on patients and no abnormal indicators were found.During the treatment period,no adverse reactions and physical discomfort were observed in both groups.3.Lequesne index: Before treatment,the Lequesne score of the control group was(10.1±1.97),and that of the treatment group was(9.36±1.92).The comparison between the two groups(t=1.45,P=0.15>0.05)was comparable.After 2 weeks of treatment,the treatment group was compared before and after treatment(t=11.7,P=0.00);the control group was compared before and after treatment(t=7.09,P=0.00<0.01);after treatment,the treatment group was compared with the control group(t=-3.88,P=0.02<0.05).4.VAS score: Before treatment,the VAS score in the control group was(6.76±1.79),and the treatment group was(6.73±1.48).The comparison between the two groups(t=0.078,P=0.938>0.05)was comparable.After 2 weeks of treatment,the treatment group was compared before and after treatment(t=15.389,P=0.00<0.01;);the control group was compared before and after treatment(t=10.476,P=0.00);after treatment,the treatment group was compared with the control group(t=-3.64,P=0.001<0.01).There was a highly significant difference between the treatment group and the control group.
