Objective:To observe the incidence of anxiety and depression in the patients with lumbar spinal stenosis(LSS),and furtherly explore their risky factors associated with LSS.Methods:One hundred and fifty patients, who were diagnosised with LSS,were included from September 2016 to November 2017 in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi University of traditional Chinese Medicine. The messages of age,sex and course of disease were recorded about all of patients, and all the patients were assessed with tables of SAS,SDS,JOA and VAS.All the patients were divided into anxiety group or non-anxiety group according to the scores of SAS,or into depression group and non-depressive group according to the scores of SDS.The sex, age, course of disease,VAS scores and JOA scores were compared between the each two groups. The factors of significant difference between the two groups, will be furtherly analysised by multivariate regression analysis whether it is the risk factors for anxiety and depression.Outcomes:Among the 150 subjects,42 cases were suffering from anxiety. There were significant differences on sex, course of disease,VAS scores,JOA scores and subjective symptoms between two the groups of anxiety group and non-anxiety group. The results of multifactorial logistic regression analysis suggested sex, course of disease,VAS scores,JOA scores and subjective symptoms are the risky factors of incidence of anxiety. There were 31 patients were suffering from depression, the differences on sex, course of disease,JOA scores and ADL scores were significant between the two groups of depression group and non-depression group, and sex, course of disease,JOA scores and ADL scores are the risky factors of incidence of depression. Conclusions:The incidence rates of anxiety and depression in patients with LSS are relatively high, and closely related to LSS.It suggestes that psychological intervention should be carried out on patients with LSS in clinical practice.
