Objective: To explore prevalence rate and influence factors of depression and anxiety among patients with lumbar degenerative spondylitis. Methods: The study collected patients from April 2017 to August 2017.302 patients with lumbar degenerative spondylitis were complied with investigated object standards collecting from ×××××,evaluating the depression and anxiety state.Self-made questionnaire,Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)together with Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),and Visual Analogue Scale(VAS)as well as Oswestry Disability Index(ODI)were used to investigate patients of general information and specialized illness situation.Afterwards, those epidemiological data were inputted into the Microsoft Excel, setting up the complete database. Finally, all data were computed by the SPSS software and conducted to study by binary logistic regression analysis,so that the independent risk factors were measured. Results: In total of 302 patients of lumbar degenerative spondylitis were investigated effectively. The prevalence of depression was 24.83%,which the SDS score of 75 patients exceeded normal score(75/302).The maximum score was 70 together with the minimum was 58,and the average score was(62.50±8.15).The prevalence of anxiety was 26.82%,which the SAS scale score of 81 patients was higher than normal score(81/302).The maximum score was 72 together with the minimum was 53,and the average score was(58.75±10.67).In addition, there were 46 patients with depression and anxiety(15.23%),including the average scored about SAS(64.29±5.98)of depressive patients and the average scored about SDS(59.62±6.99)of anxious patients.According to binary logistic regression analysis, the age,BMI score,VAS,ODI,sleep disorders and length of sickness were showed statistically significant differences with states of depression and anxiety(P<0.05).In addition, education and depression of patients existed significant differences(P<0.05).Conclusion: The prevalence of depression and anxiety in patients with lumbar degenerative spondylitis maintains a higher level, which the former is 24.83% while the latter is 26.82%,and both of them was 15.23%.Moreover,education below Junior high school is related to the depression of patients.Older age, obesity, stronger pain, higher degree of dysfunction, and more than 12 weeks of illnesses as well as the sleep disorder are recognized as risk factors among depression and anxiety of patients suffered from lumbar degenerative spondylitis.
