Objective: In this study, acupoint catgut embedding therapy was used to treat patients with mild and moderate vascular dementia.By observing the changes of patients' condition before and after treatment, the therapeutic effect of embedding therapy on mild and moderate VD was discussed. To provide a safe and effective method for clinical treatment of this disease. At the same time, the treatment method is based on the theory of "Regulating the mood and feeling" put forward under the guidance of the validity of this method through clinical treatment,to provide clinical basis for the theory of " Regulating the mood and feeling "Methods: A total of 63 patients with mild and moderate VD were selected according to the diagnostic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine and western medicine.According to the principle of random control,60 patients were divided into two groups,30 cases in each group. The treatment group was given acupoint embedding therapy, which was buried once every 2 weeks. The control group was given a dose of donepezil, which was taken orally for 12 weeks before going to bed each night.T Through the observation and record before and after treatment in patients with simple intelligence scale for mental state examination(MMSE scale)to assess cognitive function in patients with curative effect, score change on daily life ability scale(ADL scale)score changes of the patients daily life ability of curative effect,of traditional Chinese medicine by vascular dementia scale(SDSVD scale)of each card in the evaluation of TCM syndrome score changes to curative effect, analysis and evaluate the therapeutic effect of two kinds of treatments for the disease. Results: 1 After the course of treatment, the scores of each scale in the treatment group and the control group were all changed before the treatment,in which the MMSE score was significantly improved, the ADL score and the SDSVD score decreased significantly, and the statistical analysis,P < 0.05,showed that the difference of scores before and after treatment was statistically significant.2 After treatment, the scores of all scales in the treatment group changed more significantly than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P < 0.05).3 After treatment, the total effective rate of the treatment group in cognitive function, daily life ability and TCM syndromes were higher than those in the control group(P < 0.05).Conclusion: 1 The clinical effect of acupoint catgut embedding therapy based on the theory of "Regulating the mind and feeling" in treating mild to moderate vascular dementia is better than that of drug control group.2 The Acupoint catgut embedding therapy based on the theory of "Regulating the mind and feeling" is effective in improving cognitive impairment, daily life behavior and TCM symptom score in patients with mild and moderate vascular dementia.
