Background:Anterior cruciate ligament is one of the most important stable structures in the knee and plays an important role in maintaining knee joint function in daily life and exercise.Anterior cruciate ligament injury is particularly common in young people or athletes who participate in physical activity,especially sports such as basketball,soccer and skiing.As participation in physical activity increases,the incidence of these injuries tends to increase.Anterior cruciate ligament injury may be sudden activity,acceleration and deceleration,stretching or cutting action.Knee instability due to anterior cruciate ligament injury makes it difficult to restore normal activity levels.In addition,recurrent knee instability can lead to further damage,such as meniscal tear,cartilage damage,and further lead to an early onset of knee osteoarthritis.With the rapid development of sports medicine,arthroscopic surgery has become more and more mature,arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction has become the gold standard for treatment.And anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction will inevitably occur after a series of complications,Such as the swelling of the knee,incision healing,patellofemoral joint pain,postoperative infection,postoperative fever,deep venous thrombosis and other lower limbs.How to prevent and deal with postoperative complications,rehabilitation of patients is also an important part.Drainage has been widely used in surgery,common orthopedic surgery such as joint replacement surgery,joint reconstruction surgery,fracture reduction and internal fixation operation and spinal surgery conventional drainage.The purpose of drainage is to drain the residual liquid in the surgical incision,to avoid local deposition caused by incision swelling,infection,and timely observation of the incision site seepage amount,drainage tube often need to be placed by the surgical site drainage.Therefore,by studying the influence of postoperative drainage on the early postoperative rehabilitation,we can explore whether the drainage can reduce the incidence of postoperative complications of anterior cruciate ligament,so as to guide and service clinical.Objective:To investigate the effect of postoperative drainage on the early rehabilitation of patients undergoing arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction.Methods:From May 2016 to March 2017,73 patients underwent anterior cruciate liga-ment reconstruction in ourhospital were divided into two groups.One group received drainage after operation(37 cases),and the other group did not receive drainage(36 cases).Preoperative preparation,operation and postoperative management were per-formed routinely.Thigh circumference,calf circumference,pain score(VAS)and Creactive protein(CRP)were measured in two groups.Results: The difference of thigh circumference between preoperative and postoperative day 2 or day 5 in the drainage group was much smaller than that in the non-drainage group(P <0.05).The difference of calf circumference between preoperative and pos-toperative day 2 or day 5 in the drainage group was much smaller than that in the non-drainage group(P <0.05)The VAS score of the drainage group was lower than that of the non-drainage group on the 2nd and 5th postoperative day(P<0.05).The value of CRP in the drainage group was lower than that in the non-drainage group on the 2nd a n-d 5th postoperative day(P <0.05).No postoperative complications such as deep ven o-us thrombosis of lower extremities and poor healing of infected wound occurred in b ot-h groups.Conclusion:Early routine drainage after arthroscopic anterior cruciate ligament recon-struction can effectively improve postoperative leg swelling,relieve pain,and decrease inflammatory reaction.
