Research Background and Objective:With the transformation of the social medicine biological model, the pace of life and the stress of life increase, the incidence of cancer is increasing year by year, become the focus of social attention. Many heart centers at home abroad have been involved in many cardiac tumors. Most of the studies examined its pathological features and there have been many high-level breakthroughs in heart cancer research. The aim of this study was to review the clinical data of patients undergoing surgical treatment of cardiac tumors and to analyze and discuss their epidemiology, clinical diagnosis, the correlation between treatment and prognosis. Therefore,we can provide basis for improving the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac tumors. Methods:Clinical data of 20 patients with cardiac tumors who underwent surgical treatment in The Affiliated Hospital of Yanbian University and Affiliated Hospital of Jilin Medical University form January,2011 to July,2017 were analyzed retrospectively. The general information, operation situation, prognostic indicators were collected. Results:There were 20 patients with primary cardiac tumors in this subjects.Primary benign tumors were diagnosed in 17 cases(85%),including 15 myxoma,1 lipoma, and 1 pericardial cyst.Primary malignant tumors were diagnosed in 3 cases(15%).Surgery was performed to remove the tumor. There were 2perioperative deaths(10%)in total cases.By December 2017,18 cases of patients were followed up (90%)for 5 months-6years.Follow-up result showed that after 3 months, the symptoms were significantly improved or disappeared by 14 patients, the sympotoms were reduced by 2 patients, symptoms were not improved or continued to worsen with serious cardiac dysfuction by 2 patients. The benign cardiac tumor has a good prognosis so that no deaths were obseved during follow-up,no cardiovascular events occurred.3 patients with cerebral embolism showed varying degrees of limb hemiplegia and the quality of life is poor.3 patients with cardiac malignancy,2 patients were dead(11.11%)of cardiac failure and tumor metastasis. The average survival time was 12.50 months. Conclusion:Left atrial myxoma is the most common cardiac tumor.Prognosis of patients with primary malignant cardiac tumors is poor. The curative effect of benign tumor is better than that of malignant tumor.Early diagnosis and surgery may improve the survival rate of patients with malignant tumors.
