Objective Collecting and analyzing the data of the occurrence,clinical manifestation,diagnosis,pathological features,treatment and prognosis of 29 retroperitoneal schwannoma(RPSN)from the First affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University,toprovide knowledge for further understanding this disease and Improve the diagnosis and treatment of the disease.Methods The clinicopathological characters of the 29 RPSN patients,enrolled in the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University from January 2012 to December2016,were retrospectively analyzed.Results1.Retroperitoneal schwannoma is rare in clinic,but its clinical manifestations are diverse,which can be manifested as abdominal distension,abdominal distension,diarrhea,pain in lower back,nausea and vomiting.2.Preoperative imaging examination is of high value for the diagnosis of the disease.CT(plain scan plus enhancement)combined with MRI(plain scan plus enhancement)examination are advocated before surgery operation.3.Surgical resection is the most effective treatment for retroperitoneal schwannoma.It is necessary to avoid the injury of important nerve during operation,and laparoscopic surgery should be performed in patients with minor tumor.4.The overall prognosis of retroperitoneal schwannoma is relatively better.Conclusion There was no significant difference in the incidence of retroperitoneal schwannomas between men and women.Preoperative CT and MRI should be performed.Surgical resection is the most effective treatment.For those with small tumors,laparoscopic surgery should be selected.The overall prognosis of retroperitoneal schwannoma is better.
