Objective: Explore the clinical effect of RPH(automatic ligation of hemorrhoids)combined with leaving the dentate line external hemorrhoids resection in the treatment of mixed hemorrhoids. Methods: 80 patients with mixed hemorrhoids were collected in The Affiliated Hospital of North Sichuan Medical College from July,2017 to January,2018.80 cases were divided randomly into the treatment group and the control group. The treatment group was treated with RPH combined with external hemorrhoids resection. The control group was treated with Milligan Morgan hemorrhoidectomy. The two groups of patients were compared in the following aspects: the total efficiency, the operation time, the number of the surgical incisions, the postoperative anal pain, the hemorrhage, the return of hemorrhoids, the remnant prolapse and some postoperative complications, such as the postoperative urinary retention, the postoperative anal thrombosis or anal hematoma, the secondary anal fissure, the anal incontinence, and the anal stenosis. The data from the research were analyzed with the statistical method.Results:(1)There is no significant difference between the two groups in terms of gender, age, course of disease, staging of internal hemorrhoids, number of hemorrhoids removal before operation(P>0.05).Therefore,the two groups are comparable.(2)There is statistically significant difference in the operation time and the number of the surgical incisions. The operation time of the experimental group was shorter than that of the control group(P<0.05),and the number of surgical incisions was less than that of the control group.(3)There is statistically significant difference in the postoperative bleeding and the postoperative anal pain between the test group and the control group(P<0.05).There is no significant difference in the return of hemorrhoids and remnants(P>0.05).The experimental group is better than the control group in the postoperative bleeding and the postoperative pain.(4)There is statistically significant difference in the postoperative urinary retention between the two groups(P<0.05).There is no significant difference in thrombosis, the formation of anal hematoma, the secondary fissure and the anal incontinence(P>0.05).(5)There was no significant difference in the curative rate and the effective rate between the experimental group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion: RPH combined with leaving the dentate line external hemorrhoids resection in the treatment of mixed hemorrhoids has good clinical curative effect. This method also has the advantages of simple operation, less operation time, faster postoperative recovery, and less postoperative complications. It deserves a wider clinical application.
