Objective: To study the clinical effect of suspension resection and suture in the treatment of mixed hemorrhoids.Method: From December 2017 to December 2018,a total of 60 inpatients with mixed hemorrhoids who were admitted to Anorectal Department of Shanghai Minhang District Central Hospital for the first operation were divided into two groups. The patients in the treatment group underwent Modified closed hemorrhoidectomy, while the patients in the control group underwent Milligan morgan. The wound healing rate, healing time and hospitalization expenses of the two groups were compared, and the scores of edema, pain, hemorrhage and swelling symptoms at 1,3,7 and 14 days after operation were compared.Wexner scale was used as safety assessment and SF-12 scale was used as quality of life assessment. Results: 1.The cure rate of both treatment group and control group was 100%.The wound healing time of treatment group was shorter and had statistical significance(P<0.05).2.The scores of symptoms among the patients in treatment group were better than those in the control group. There were significant differences in the scores of stool blood on the 3rd and 7th day after operation(P<0.05),pain on the 7th and 14 th day after operation(P<0.05),edema and swelling on the 1st,3rd and 7th day after operation(P<0.05).3.Wexner scale showed that neither of the two surgical methods had any effect on anal function.4.The SF-12 scale showed that the two surgical methods could improve the quality of life of patients with statistical significance(P<0.05).The life quality of patients in the treatment group had a greater improvement than that in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).5.The treatment group cost less hospitalization expense than that of the control group, which difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion: Compared with traditional external stripping and internal ligation, suspension resection and suture for mixed hemorrhoids can effectively reduce the symptoms of complications, shorten the healing time of wounds, reduce hospitalization costs and improve the quality of life of patients. Therefore, the operation can be further used in clinical practice.
