Relevant studies have shown that the training schools and courses for dental nurses in our country are still at an exploratory stage.The main training methods are on-the-job training and continuing education in China.The training of primary nursing staff is very important to the development of clinical work and is an essitial part of the management of nursing human resources.Most hospital of stomatology provide basic oral knowledge training for junior professional nurses.However,the dental nurses undertake the full-time triage and the chair side care of the dental pulp department,so they need to learn systematically the theoretical knowledge,diagnosis and treatment technology and equipment of the dental pulp to promote collaborative development of healthcare.Objective:In this study,the aim is investigated the training status of dental endodontic nurses and established the training content for the primary title nurses of dental endodontics.It also investigated the clinical needs of nurses for training content.It is expected to provide a theoretical basis for the standardized training of dental endodontic nurses in Jilin Province,improve the core ability of oral care personnel,and then improve the quality of oral clinical care and promote the coordinated development of medical care.Methods:1.On the basis of literature reviews and expert consultations,a self-made questionnaire on the training status of dental endodontics nurses in Jilin Province was conducted.The dental endodontic nurse in Jilin Province was selected as the survey object.2.We set up a research team that read a lot of literature on dental nurse training and conducted an interview.The training contents of the dental pulp were obtained through interviews with 16 nurses from the dental pulp department.In the content of the interview,the training contents of the dental pulp nurse were extracted to form thefirst draft of the questionaire of dental pulp training content.3.Using the Delphi method,the team members consult experts who meet the requirements.We conducted two rounds expert correspondence with experts meeting the standards in June and August in 2017,17 experts and 15 experts respectively.Through the statistical analysis of the results of the questionaire,the entries of the training contents were continuously screened and modified,ultimately the formation of dental nurses training scale.4.The training needs of the endodontic nurses and the requirements of the dental endodontists for the training content of dental endodontic nurses were investigated separately in order to provide a theoretical basis based on the cilinical needs of training.Results:1.This study used a convenient sampling method to investigate the training status of dental endodontic nurses in six institutions in Jilin Province.A total of 134 electronic questionnaires were collected.Object of investigation including 131 females and 3 males,age is(28.35±5.51)years old.The results show that only47.76% of the dental nurses a better understanding of the standardized training.Oral anatomy,laws and regulations,occupation development,humanities knowledge in training content is relatively less,accounted for respectively 54.48%,50.00%,55.97%,60.45%.The mainly training form of collective training,accounting for 83.58%.Nurses studying outside the hospital accounted for only 25.37% of the surveyed population.The main reason for not participating in training is busy work,accounting for 79.10%.2.The experts selected by the Delphi method come from the dental departments of 3 dental hospitals and a general hospital in Jilin Province.They are engaged in clinical nursing,nursing management,clinical medicine,medical education and other related work of dental endodontics.Ca coefficient was 0.9267,Cs coefficient was0.8200,Cr coefficient was 0.8734,W coefficient were 0.273 and 0.204.The recycling rate of the two rounds of expert correspondence were 88.24% and 100%,respectively.The proportion of experts who gave opinions were 73.77% and 13.33%,respectively.3.In the first round of expert correspondence,there were two whose mean less than 3.5,4 entries whose standard deviation greater than 1,20 entries whose CV greater than 20%,and 55 indicators for expert opinion.In the second round,the mean,standard deviation and coefficient of variation all met the inclusion criteria,and the expert opinion involved only one item.Finally,the training content on primary nursing staff of endodontics in jilin province consists of 9 first-level entries,29second-level entries and 115 third-level entries.4.According to the questionnaire on the training needs of the training contents of the dental endodontic nurses,the training requirements for the first-level items from the largest to the smallest are the occupational safety of the dental endodontic nurses(4.16±0.69),auxiliary knowledge of endodontics nursing(4.16±0.74),nursing knowledge and skills of dental pulpology nursing(4.14±0.71),endodontics nurses' humanistic qualities(4.13±0.68),hospital infection and control knowledge of endodontics nursing(4.07±0.72),occupational development of dental endodontic nurses(4.07±0.72),the basic introduction of dental endodontics(4.04±0.83),systems and regulations of dental endodontics(4.02±0.77),the basic introduction to oral anatomy and physiology(3.85±0.88).5.According to the questionnaire on the needs of dental endodontists,the requirements for the first-level items from the largest to the smallest are nursing knowledge and skills of dental pulpology nursing(4.75±0.58),auxiliary knowledge of endodontics nursing(4.50±0.89),endodontics nurses' humanistic qualities(4.50±0.89),the occupational safety of dental endodontic nurses(4.44±0.89),hospital infection and control knowledge of endodontics nursing(4.38±0.81),the occupational development of dental endodontics nurses(4.38±0.89),the system and regulations of the dental endodontic nurses(4.38±0.89),the basic introduction to dental endodontics(4.25±0.86),the basic introduction to oral anatomy and physiology(3.69±1.01).Conclusions:1.The survey results showed that the education system for oral nursing professional education in Jilin Province is incomplete,the theory and practice of on-the-job training are lack of systemic and normative,and there is a shortage of certification systems for specialty nurses for oral care.At the present stage,the practice and research on the development of oral nursing education and the special certification system are continuously increasing.It is recommended that the nursing students in dental specialties should be trained in standardized medical and nursing majors so that the educational level and other aspects are compatible with the Chinese stomatology education system.2.The training content of the junior nurse of the dental endodontic department in Jilin Province constructed by the Delphi method includes 9 first-level entries,29second-level entries and 115 third-level entries.This study follows the principles of development,practicality,and orderliness of curriculum design.Experts who participated in this study,such as the degree of authority,the level of experts' initiative,and the degree of coordination,were all high.It is proved that the result of the expert consultation is reliable,reliable and scientific.3.According to the training needs of the dental endodontic nurses and the needs of the dental endodontists for the training content of dental endodontic nurses,it is necessary to set up the standardized training content for the dental nurses in the regions or countries.
