The Effects Of Trichosanthes Oysters Powder On Blood Glucose In Mice With Diabetes Mellitus

Objective To study the effects of trichosanthes oysters powder on blood glucose in mice with diabetes mellitus.Methods Healthy ICR mice 83,divided into normal control group,model control group,positive control group,microwave group and low,high dose treatment groups.The mice were administrated with alloxan 200mg/kg by intraperitoneal injection to build diabetic mice model.The test substance was given to mice through stomach everyday,NC and MC were gavage with distilled water,15 days later,mice in each group were weighed,the contents of the blood sugar,the glucose tolerance were measured.Then administered for three days,determination of the content of GSP,TG,TC,HDL,LDL,MDA in serum from the eyes' ball.After death removed liver,spleen and pancreas organ to weight,and calculated the organ index.Results In this experiment,compared with NC,the weight,liver index,spleen index,pancreas index,and the level of FBG,GSP,TC,TG,LDL and MDA in MC were markedly increased(P<0.05,P<0.01).The level of HDL decreased(P<0.01).After the end of the experiment,compared with MC,the weight,liver index,pancreas index of treatment groups were significantly increased(P<0.05.P<0.01),except spleen index.The level of FBQ GSP,TC,TG and MDA in treatment groups were significantly decreased,except the level of HDL.Conclusion 1.This experiment uses alloxan to build diabetic mice model.This model is one of the commonly used model for curative effect evaluation of hypoglycemic drug,and this modeling method have good effect,high feasibility.2.Trichosanthes oysters powder can reduce the levels of FBG for diabetic mice,regulate blood lipids,improve antioxidation ability.By comparison between groups,the microwave group and high dose treatment groups have obvious advantages in hypoglycemic which provide the theoretical basis for the further development of trichosanthes oysters powder.3.Trichosanthes oysters powder have potential development value on diabetes therapy as the common ancient prescription.
