| China is a prosperous country in the pig industry,and consumes a lot of pork.Aquaculture of pig has become the most important industry of animal husbandry,which plays a huge role in the development of agricultural economy,the adjustment of rural industrial structure and the increase of farmers' income.However,the occurrence and prevalence of infectious diseases always threaten the development of our pig industry,organized and planned immunization is one of the most important measures to prevent and control the spread of infectious diseases,which can avoid the occurrence of immune diseases,reduce death losses,protect the breeding industry.Foot-and-mouth disease(FMD)and Classic swine fever(CSF)are common viral infectious diseases of swine,FMD is always the mandatory immunization disease by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs requirement,and CSF is also a mandatory immunization disease before 2017.Their prevalence has brought huge losses to the pig industry.In this study,the pig serums from Huyi District,Xi'an City,Shaanxi Province from 2017 to 2019 were firstly collected,then the post vaccination FMDV and CSFV antibody levels were detected by ELISA,the results would benefit for the understanding the FMDV and CSFV vaccination status of pigs in the jurisdiction,provide a reasonable basis for formulating scientific disease prevention and control measures.During the period,an outbreak of African swine fever(ASF)occurred in Huyi District of Xi'an City,so this study also investigated the ASF epidemic case.The results of the study are as follows.In this study,1268 serum samples were collected from the FMDV and CSFV vaccinated pigs from the large-scale pig farms in Huyi District,Xi'an.ELISA results showed that among the 1268 serum samples,1004 samples were FMDV antibody-positive.The positive rate of FMDV antibody was 79.2%.Among them,the positive rates of antibodies from 2017 to 2019 were 83.5%,76.7%,and 77.3%,respectively;the positive rates in spring and autumn were 79.8% and 73.7%,respectively;the antibody positive rates of the five farms tested were 81.1%,84.6%,77.9%,76.1%,and 75.5%,respectively;the antibody positive rates of suckling piglets,nursery pigs,fattening pigs,sows and breeding pigs were 78.3%,71.5%,75.5%,86.6% and 72.2%,respectively.Among the 1268 serum samples,none of the samples was CSFV antigen positive,and the CSFV antibody positive rate was 83.0%.From 2017 to 2019,the CSFV antibody positive rates were 89%,81.9%,and 78%,respectively;the antibody positive rates in spring and autumn were 78.3% and87.1%,respectively;the antibody positive rates of the five farms were 89.2% and 88.2%,79.2%,76.9%,and 80%,respectively;the CSFV antibody positive rates for suckling piglets,nursery pigs,fattening pigs,sows and breeding pigs were 82.6%,65.3%,83.5%,89.5% and 82.1%,respectively.At noon on November 27,2018,a suspected case of African swine fever was found in a breeding community consisting in Weifeng Town,Huyi District,Xi'an City.At 20:00 on December 2,2018,the case was confirmed to be an ASF epidemic after on-site investigation and testing by the China Animal Health and Epidemiology Center.The People's Government of Huyi District,Xi'an City immediately initiated an emergency response to a major animal epidemic,delineated the epidemic area,issued a blockade order in accordance with the law,and culled all live pigs in the epidemic area and treated them innocuously to eliminate pathogens.This paper summarized the occurrence and diagnosis process of the ASF epidemic,recorded the clinical manifestations of the infected pigs,analyzed the causes of the epidemic.Formulate and implement the epidemic control and disinfection measures of the People's Government of Huyi District,Xi'an City for the epidemic area and threatened area.After the expert group of the Xi'an Agriculture and Forestry Commission evaluated and passed the inspection,the Huyi District People's Government lifted the blockade of the African swine fever epidemic area,and the epidemic was finally brought under control.The results of FMDV and CSFV serum antibodies post-vaccination detection in this study showed that the overall positive rate of pigs in Huyi District of Xi'an City both exceeded 70%,which met the national mandatory immune antibody positive rate of 70%.Among them,the positive rate of FMDV antibodies has always been high,indicating that the vaccine has a better immune effect,while the positive rate of CSFV antibodies has decreased year by year from 2017 to 2019,but it is generally controllable.The results provide theoretical data for the prevention and control of FMDV and CSFV by vaccination in Huyi District,Xi'an.At the same time,this study summarizes the occurrence and development process of an ASF epidemic in Huyi District,Xi'an City,and records the control and disinfection process of the People's Government of Huyi District in Xi'an City on the epidemic and threatened areas,providing materials for the prevention and control of ASF in our province and even in our country. |
