Abstract/Summary:
China has the largest number of dairy goats in the world. The dairy goat resources are abundant and growing rapidly. In recent years, with the support of the government, dairy goat industry has gradually become an important part of Shaanxi characteristic agriculture. However, there are still many problems to be solved urgently in the production and breeding of dairy goats.Firstly, the backward breeding technology leads to the slow progress of dairy goat breeding and the serious degradation of improved breeds.Secondly, the way of dairy goat breeding is backward, the production efficiency is low. Finally, there is a lack of high-quality forage, which can’t guarantee the nutritional needs of dairy goats, resulting in the majority of dairy goats can’t play its variety advantages. In order to solve these problems, researchers found a new type of forage: hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera, which has high protein content and rich in a variety of active substances. It can not only replace alfalfa hay as roughage, but also improve the semen quality, and provide guarantee for the reproduction and breeding of dairy goats.Thirty healthy(8th months,weighing(34 ± 2.3)kg and similar body condition)were chosen and randomly divided into two groups(Fifteen in each group). The control group was fed with hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera silage + peanut vines and the experimental group was fed with alfalfa hay + peanut vines. The test period was 60 days. The following results were obtained by measuring the blood physiological and biochemical parameters, semen quality, reproductive hormone, sperm motility parameters, sperm antioxidant index and gut microbiome community structure.1.The blood sample of dairy goat was collected on the 60 th day.The results showed that there was no significant effect on the blood physiological indexes, serum biochemical indexes and blood antioxidant indexes of the dairy goat. The RBC and HCT in the control group were 22.17% and 40.18% lower, and the MCHC was 27.52% higher than that in the control group(P > 0.05).There was no significant effect on TP,ALB,BUN,GLU,TG,ALT,AST,ALP,T-AOC,MDA and GSH-Px of the dairy goat fed with hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera silage. Therefore, feeding hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera silage does not affect the body health of dairy goat.2.The sperm concentration of treatment group was 3.178 billion/m L,which was significantly higher than that of the control group(2.222 billion/m L)(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group, the seminal volume and sperm motility of dairy goat rams in the test group increased by 19.39% and 5.27%,respectively,with no significant difference(P > 0.05).And the VCL,VSL,VAP and STR of sperm were 5.80%,11.68%,7.59% and 3.5% higher in the control group, with no significant difference(P > 0.05).In addition,at the end of the test, the of testosterone in the blood of was significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).The results showed that feeding hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera silage could significantly improve the blood testosterone level and semen quality of dairy goat.3.The CAT of sperm was found to be significantly higher than that in the control group(P < 0.05).The sperm T-AOC and GSH of the treatment group were increased by 4.88% and 25.84%,with no significant difference(P > 0.05).It shows that feeding the hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera silage can improve the antioxidant of the sperm compared with feeding alfalfa hay.4.The results of 16 S r RNA showed that the abundance of Bacteroidetes and Bacteroidales in the gut of dairy goats was significantly increased(P < 0.05),while that of Proteobacteria,Aeromonadales and Succinivibrio were significantly decreased(P < 0.05).The function of gut microbiome community was significantly improved in the treatment group(P < 0.05),including amino acid, protein, lipid metabolism and genetic information processing. The results showed that the hybrid Broussonetia silage could improve the structure, reduce the number of harmful bacterias and maintain the gut health of dairy goat.5.The results of analysis of the correlation between gut microbiome community and semen quality of dairy goat rams showed that the Proteobacteria,Aeromonadales and Succinivibrionaceae were negatively positively correlated with the sperm concentration of the control group(r =-0.899,-0.907 and-0.907;P < 0.05).And the Bacteroidetes was positively correlated with the sperm motility in the treatment group and the control group(r =0.939,0.950;P < 0.05).The results showed that the change of ut microbiome community structure would affect the semen quality of dairy goat.In summary,it will not negatively affect the metabolism and growth of dairy goat by feeding hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera silage. It indicated that the hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera silage could replace alfalfa hay as roughage feed of dairy goat.In addition, feeding hybrid Broussonetia Papyrifera silage can improve the blood testosterone content, semen quality and change the gut microbiota community structure of dairy goat.It can also improve semen quality by promoting testicular development and spermatogenesis in dairy goats.
