Dazhai Terrace Landscape Performance And Tourism Sustainable Development

Human beings are the builders of terraces,and they may become destroyers of terraces or maintainers of terraces.The change of this role actually takes place in a village in China called Dazhai.The villagers of Dazhai have opened up terraces for food,which has created this mountain wonder.As the global economic integration continues to penetrate the countryside,Dazhai has transformed from a remote village into a well-known tourist destination and a globally important agricultural cultural heritage site.Villagers are engaged in community to achieve higher unit output and obtain more economic income.Traveling abandoning the cultivation of terraces directly affects the increase in the amount of land dumping and collapse.Moreover,a large number of tourists flocked to Dazhai,causing a contradiction between tourism domestic water and terraced irrigation water,which intensified the fragmentation of the terraced landscape,directly affecting its ornamental value,and indirectly affecting the added value of tourism revenue.To this end,since 2010,from the Longsheng Forestry Bureau,Longji Scenic Area Administration,Longji Tourism Company to Dazhai Village Committee and farmers formed a consensus to strengthen the protection of terraced landscapes from top to bottom,and implemented a series of terraces.The rectification and restoration measures include the terrace remediation plan of Longji Scenic Spot,the key water and soil conservation projects of the small watershed in Jinkeng Area,the adjustment of the villager's tourism dividend system led by terrace protection,and the establishment of a new farming management department by Longji Tourism Company.Based on the theory of sustainable development and the theory of tourism and human relations,the empirical paradigm of landscape performance is used,using environmental water quality measurement,anthropological ethnological field investigation,landscape ecology survey,sociological in-depth interview,geography ArcGIS geographic information processing technology,etc.A multidisciplinary cross-disciplinary approach to constructing and evaluating terraced landscape performance,with in-depth quantitative results reflecting its continued contribution to tourism development,summarizing its prominent sustainability characteristics,and potential blockage factors for the same or same scale landscape The development utilizes to provide experience.The results show that the landscape performance of Dazhai terraces in Longji Jinkeng is relatively high(4.188),and all dimensions have achieved harmonious development and coexistence and symbiosis.The benefits from high to low are cultural benefits(4.758)> economic benefits(4.515)> ecology Benefits(4.353)> Social Benefits(3.125).The “forest-village-terrace-water” ecosystem,sustainable management of destinations,sustainable development of the community,and sustainable construction of cultural subjects are the distinctive features of sustainable tourism development.However,there are also potential hidden dangers such as the tragedy of terraced landscapes,the limited development of village tourism,the unbalanced development of community space,and the relative lack of cultural ownership.According to the survey results,specific measures such as sewage treatment,smart scenic spots,community empowerment,institutional innovation,and joint construction and sharing are proposed.
