To provide a new direction and theoretical basis for the further research and development of GPP,the change in body weight, ovarian index, uterine index and vaginal opening of weaned female mice, levels of Gn RH,FSH,LH,E2and PG in serum;the number of follicles, the maximum diameter and the thickness of the ovarian cortex were detected by ELISA and HE research methods to investigate the effects of different doses of GPP on ovarian development in weaned female mice. The results showed as below:1.Different doses of GPP could promote weight gain in mice and advance the opening time of the vagina. After 14 days, the body weight of the low-dose GPP group was significantly higher than that of the blank control group?P<0.05?,and the vaginal opening time of the GPP group was significantly higher than that of the blank control?P<0.05?.2.Different doses of GPP could increase the ovarian index and uterine index of mice. After 7 and 14 days, the ovarian index of the medium-dose GPP group was significantly higher than that of the blank control?P<0.05?.The uterine index of the low and medium dose group of GPP was significantly higher than that of the blank control?P<0.05?.3.Different doses of GPP could promote the secretion of Gn RH,FSH,LH and E2in mice. After 7 days, the contents of Gn RH,FSH and E2in the GPP groups were significantly higher than those in the blank control?P<0.05?,the content of LH in the low-dose GPP group was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?.After 14 days, the contents of Gn RH,FSH,LH and E2in the low and medium dose GPP groups were significantly higher than those in the blank control?P<0.05?.4.Different doses of GPP could inhibit the secretion of PG.After 7 and 14days,PG content in each dose group of GPP was significantly lower than that in the blank control?P<0.05?.5.Different doses of GPP could promote the growth and development of follicles at all levels. After 7 days, the SF quantity in each dose group of GPP was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?,and the MF quantity in the medium and high dose groups of GPP was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?.After 14 days, the SF quantity in each dose group of GPP was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?,the MF quantity in the low and medium dose groups of GPP was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?,the corpus luteum quantity in the medium dose group of GPP was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?.6.Different doses of GPP could increase the maximum diameter of follicles at all levels. After 7 days, the maximum diameters of PF,PRF,MF and corpus luteum in each dose group of GPP was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?.The maximum diameter of SF in medium dose of the GPP group was significantly higher than that of the control?P<0.05?.After 14 days, the maximum diameters of PF,PRF,SF and MF in each dose group of GPP was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?,the maximum diameters of corpus luteum in each low and medium dose group of GPP was significantly higher than that in the blank control?P<0.05?.7.Different doses of GPP significantly increased the thickness of ovarian cortex in mice?P<0.05?.Conclusion,GPP could increase the body weight, ovarian index and uterine index of weaned mice, advance the opening time of vagina, increase the contents of Gn RH,FSH,LH and E2in serum, increase the number and size of follicles at all levels of ovary and the thickness of ovarian cortex, and promote the development of ovary in mice.According to the results of this study, after 14days,the effect of GPP-L?50mg/kg?dose group was obvious. The GPP-M?100mg/kg?dose group had the best effect.
