Resistance Of Different Rice Varieties To Rice Blast And Rice False Smut In Western Anhui

From 2016 to 2019,the resistance of 653 rice varieties to the rice blast and rice false smut were evaluated in West Anhui Mountain.The main results were as follows:1)According to the resistance identification results of tested rice varieties to leaf blast and neck blast,we used the comprehensive resistance index to evaluate the resistance of different rice varieties to rice blast.The study showed that there are no high resistant variety in the identified 640 rice varieties,all of them there are 389 varieties showed resistance,167 varieties showed middle resistance and 84 varieties showed susceptible or high susceptible to the rice blast.The proportion of B,WJ,7KBC and D rice lines which were resistant to the rice blast were very high,and the percent were 89.36%,86.44%,70.67% and70.00% respectively.The result showed that these rice varieties had higher resistance to the rice blast and were more suitable for planted in Western Anhui.The resistance identification results of tested rice varieties to leaf blast showed that there are 265 varieties with high resistance and 250 varieties with resistance,more than 80%varieties were resistant or high resistant.Among them,50 varieties were middle resistant to leaf blast and 75 varieties were susceptible or high susceptible.The proportion of the high resistant varieties was higher in 7KD and ZG rice lines,and their proportion was 90.91% and88.89% respectively.The results of the resistance to neck blast in the tested rice varieties were as follows: there are 174 varieties with high resistance and 231 varieties with resistance,more than 63%varieties were resistant or high resistant to the neck blast;115 varieties were middle resistant;and 120 varieties were susceptible or high susceptible.The proportion of high resistant varieties in the four lines 7KD,B,K and 7KBC were higher than the others,their proportion was 90.91%,57.45%,45.00% and 41.33% as followed.The resistance of the tested rice varieties to leaf blast and neck blast were significantly different.Compared the resistance level of leaf blast with that of neck blast showed that the resistance of the tested rice varieties to leaf blast was higher.2)Because of the serious disease of rice blast,49 rice varieties were not able to identify the resistance level of rice false smut.The results of the other 591 rice varieties’ s resistance identification to the rice false smut showed that there were 181 high resistant varieties,247 resistant varieties,131 middle resistant varieties and 32 varieties were susceptible or high susceptible,more than 70% varieties were resistant or high resistant.The ratio of resistance tosusceptibility was 559 to 32.The tested rice varieties showed stronger resistance to rice false smut than that to rice blast.3)In this study,there were 289 varieties showed resistant or high resistant both to rice blast and rice false smut among the 640 varieties.The proportion of the resistant or high resistant varieties were higher in B,D,K,E and ZD rices lines,and the percent was 84.04%,70.00%,60.00% and 58.33% respectively.The results showed that these rice lines had stronger resistance both to rice blast and rice false smut,and they were the rice varieties which were worth promoting.4)Among the 13 new rice varieties,the resistance to rice blast was different from each other.Because of the severe rice blast disease in Zhuqing,the resistance to rice false smut cannot be identified.Except Guofeng No.1,the other 11 varities showed good resistance to rice false smut.The varieties of N779 S,Dangjing N0.8 and Dangyujing N0.10 showed good resistance both to rice blast and rice false smut.
